Off Topic / Re: The Trivial Complaints Thread ... #3« Last post by Ponybookworm on Today at 07:42:45 AM »Ableist language and actions really bother me because it really puts self-created limits on what people think they can do. It's like the Down Syndrome awareness PSA : "if you think I can't ______,, then you don't treat me like I can ______, and then I don't ______."I was asked once if I could help elderly housebound people to access the internet as I'm quite computer savvy. I talked about the things these people could do, including sell hand-made items online for a little extra cash. The carers who interviewed me were NOT having that, despite pensions being something you can supplement with a small extra income, & I was shut down because I didn't "understand". What I didn't understand was the carers' need to keep their clients fully dependent without adding any contributions. Like, so they can't use their legs & feet, but the can still use their hands!!! The whole attitude of "these folks can't do anything" is just maddening. Like what if they want to or need to for their sanity??? 4

Pony Corral / Re: Who wore it best?« Last post by WeetabixPony on Today at 03:40:10 AM »I voted for Buttons, but I like Bangles more, if that makes sense. I don't like Buttons' pose, and I never liked her character on the show either. However, Bangles, despite being in one of my favourite poses and the fact that I like her symbol much more that Buttons', always looks so off to me. Clear-ish and "fleshy", almost like a fakie. Buttons looks more solid.

Off Topic / Re: Show from the 80s« Last post by WeetabixPony on Today at 03:12:51 AM »WeetabixPony, thanks for the reply, no unfortunately that is not it. The older girl was probably Megan's age? I watched the show sometime in the 80s in my country, so it could have been 70s? The look though of it was more 80s cartoons but not as comic like. Ah, too bad it wasn't the one you were looking for. I hope someone else has an idea, good luck! 8

The children of the show I am looking for, were living in "our" world, kind of like Megan and her siblings, but it wasn't a ranch. It must have been in a city. Before they somehow went to the "magical world" or land or whatever it was. Another clue I have, there was a scene, the crawling little brother was talking in a babylike way, not making sense but still talking, and that somehow put them in danger when some bad guys heard/saw him. 9

Hmm... Well I mean I haven't heard about this show before either but then again I'll keep on eye on it. Although I would briefly mention that D&D had a similar MLP G1 style, not sure if that's the one since it does feature humans mostly. but I don't recall a mini series about this. But can't wait to see. I mean I doubt it was moon dreamers or any other Sunbow animation that has that. But I can assure it's not by Sunbow, I don't know. Let me know if any because I'm curious what's this about. And hopefully it would be found. 10
