Just need to rant! PayPal and bad Etsy buyer.

   if theres a way of actually contacting an actual person from Paypal  then I would still try it. The whole automated response and siding with a scammer thing sucks

I have officially given up with getting any help or support from Paypal.

I have received a reply from Etsy, who want some more details about the transaction.

I can only urge others who have had similar issues with Rheanon to report her to Etsy.

My case was closed in my favor

from paypal:
"We've reviewed the shipment tracking information you provided and have confirmed delivery of the merchandise to Rheanon McDonald. As a result, this case has been resolved in your favor."

It really sucks that so many of you have gone through this trouble with this one scammer. I've never sold on Etsy, but I've considered it in the past. With the inability to block scammers and bad buyers, it makes me wonder, is it worth trying to sell things on Etsy at all? Does the good out weight the bad?

I have found it enjoyable aside from this one User. They provided me with a free card reader to which I put to good use last year at a local convention. Having an online storefront has been okay but should I garner a more profitable venture I would create my own and get a reader through PayPal. Being able to accept cards is a must nowadays to seem more legitimate and facilitate impulse purchases as fewer people carry sufficient cash. 

UPDATE:

She has not returned my merchandise as of yet and after tomorrow's post has arrived I will see what recourse is offered since I sent Priority and also attempted a Package Intercept. I always take photos now of the packages I send out so I also have a picture of the package stamped and ready to go at the post office counter along with the Tracking number.

Not long after receiving the package, she asked for me to Hold another pony for her. I responded (in essence) My money or my ponies, please. No response.

Tonight she asked for me to make recreations of Sold ponies so she can purchase them. I copy pasted the bulk of my previous My money or my ponies, please. I doubt I shall get a response this time either.

I am decidedly angry. I wish no further discourse with her, although her missives are hardly what I would call proper speech as my 5 year old knows better sentence structure.

Roogna I am so glad to hear things have worked out for you I am still sorry you have had to go through all the stress of it though

retrogradenova I too have found etsy a great place to sell I have had an account since 2007, but seriously started selling in 2011 and this is the first real problem I have had.

archidraca I am sorry to hear you are still having problems and that she is still bothering you I can only suggest you report her to Etsy and start ignoring her messages.

Etsy have written to me saying they are going to contact her on my behalf.

I have written to Etsy and included my shipping receipt and photo of the package at post. We shall see. It was quite a long email...

Maybe because of this scammer, etsy will re-evaluate some of their policies and procedures and change them and offer some protections for sellers.

I'm glad that Etsy at least are doing something about it/her. Please keep us updated and I hope something good comes of it from Etsy 
 I'm glad Paypal at least sided with you Roogna but then why on earth aren't they seeing a pattern here with people opening cases and having issues because of this scammer?!!

I got an email from Etsy today, Rheanon McDonald has had her Etsy account suspended until she responds to my dispute.
