Cute, but I'm Kind of relieved it doesn't have a new character so I won't feel obliged to hunt it down.

New Cadance but they didn't bother to fix her eye placement, really?
The ribbon hair is interesting. I'm sure these will end up somewhere in the US anyway.

She looks weird and kind of...I dunno, gross, with ribbons threading through her wings. Reboot mould is a fail.

Huh. Toys r us is safe here in Canada, wonder if my local store has it yet...I don’t iwn any g4.5 ponies, save for the seaponies. Kinda an incentive to buy it, as my birthdays coming up soon. Now I’m on the fence...but more vintage ponies for birthday, or this and sacrifice a few older ponies?
I’m glad the mystery pony is just cadence. On the back of the box it says “the guest of honour is a royal mystery!” So it couldn’t be any new character. One of the princesses. But yeah, her mould turns me off a bit. Something about her eyes and their position on her face doesn’t seem right. Sort of looks like a wall eyed fish if you ask me. Might just be the camera angle.

I wonder if this was scheduled for a wider TRU release before TRU bit the dust in the UK and the US. It seems weird to have it as a TRU exclusive unless it's going to be an exclusive somewhere else in the US now because the US market is essentially Hasbro's bread and butter.
The UK makes stuff up as it goes along so who knows where it might show up.
It's not a very exciting set though. Nothing new to see and no real surprise for kids who already have probably several versions of Cadence.

We have Toys 'R' Us in Finland, but the set is rehashed stuff and lame, so no need to buy it.

I always thought the face on the new Cadence looked a bit like a whale. Or a porpoise. To me anyway :P

I love these sets :) Every time I see a new release of this version of G4....my money stays safely in my purse :) he he he
I will give the points though for continuing to be able to take the same characters (and often the same accessories) and reinvent a whole new scene.
