Fortunatley the ponies are all on high shelves, but I tended to keep the pony room (And my bedroom, due to a large amount of model dragons) closed, so I'll probably stick with that...am sure the carpet by the door will take the damage, that way!

Thank you, both!
We have a lot of unopened toy that were intended for our old cat, and we intend to go out on a massive buying spree aswell! We've also got some used scratching posts/cat climbing things, though would it be better to buy brand new ones for the little one?
And yes, we have loads of empty boxes on standby too....we're preparing for a messy house! (supposedly her and her 2 siblings have already completley shredded up a roll of kitchen roll whilst she's being looked after!) But thanks Eviecorn; I'll try to make sure it proves a distraction from under chairs/behind units, and try and find a way to block those holes whilst she's still small!

We're getting a kitten! (Well, my parents are, but as I visit at least once a week she'll be mine, too!). Our old cat unfortunatlety passed away a few months ago due to a tumor on her liver, and my mother has really been missing having a cat around the house, and was always going to get another one.
One of the ladies she works with looks after cats rescued by the RSPCA, and she currently has three 9/10 week old kittens, and my mom fell in love with a little black and white girl, so she put a deposit down and will be getting her in 2/3 weeks time.
Does anyone have any advice for welcoming a kitten into the home and looking after one properly? We've always had cats but never one this young (think our youngest was 15 months). She has had her first lot of vaccinations. and I belive is due to have her next lot just before we get her. She seems to be able to use a litter tray, and is currently on weening food (not sure what happened to her mother; the little was rescued on their own). My mom is attempting to talk my dad into getting another of the kittens so the little one will have company (and she loves the idea of 2 cats!) but he's not keen on that idea (yet...). Also, as both my parentd work full time, the kitten will be alone during the day (she is apparantly used to this, but as I'm currently out of work I'll be over there a bit when they first get her.).
So, can anyone offer some tips on kitten care, please? Thank you in advance!

Pony Corral / Royal Wedding Set in UK!
« on: June 18, 2012, 04:54:51 AM »
Sorry if this has already been posted, but I've just gpt back from Smyths toy store, and they had one (now none...) in stock for £29.99 (along with mostly RD fashion styles with £3 off, and the train sets, plus Rarity's carousel). Glad to see something new over here, but I'm a little dissapointed in Shining Armours hair; it coems away quite easily when you touch it; I'm too scared to get the comb through it!
Hopefully we'll start seeing more new sets in other stores soon...

Lady Lessons featured in one of the UK pony annuals; she tought the Playschool Baby Ponies at the school; she was pink with white hair, had a globe symbol, and she had big (green?) glasses! I desperatley wanted her as a child, then was very upset to find out she was never produced as a toy.
I DID win a custom of her a few years back on eBay; unfortunatley she is at my parents house, so I can't take photos, and I can't remember who made the custom...was it anyone on here? She was made from a Lickety Split mould, and the glasses have been moulded on...she's beautiful!

I sent a link to Lancer on Facebook once; there was an episode of Russel Howards Good News last year; at the end he shows a small clip of various nice, heartwarming things show in the news....in this particular episode it showed a holiday home for children with cancer in Blackpool, which seemed to have some old illuminations donated to a fun/play area there, including 2 or 3 of the Princess Pony/Dragon illuminations...I can't quite remember the name of the place now, but maybe Lancer will still have a link to the site?

My boyfriend actually made a Warhammer army list for my ponies. He spent many breaks at work looking up the history of MLP for the codex, so now he knows a lot more than he likes to admit. He can already correctly name some of them, knows which generations are which, and which are males...having so many of them stare at him sometimes terrifies him, but I think deep down he likes them!

I'm going to point Lancer in this direction; she put a post on Facebook earlier today describing the same problem from an item purchased by a pony collector in october...

Supermarkets I definatley have problems with finding them....The Entertainter used to have quite a few; just after christmas they got the mane 6 luggage sets in (LOADS of them) but a week later there were NO singles left (I actually think that as they dissapeared so quickley, the store took them awat as opposed to them being sold) & there are only the balloon, Apple Bloom & Sweetie Belle & the RD playset left now, and they've been moved from their usual stand.
