Title: How do you post an image of your art here?

Post by: Kiwi on November 27, 2019, 06:53:29 PM: You need to have the image hosted online somewhere - usually an image hosting site like Flickr or similar. Then you need to copy the image's URL link. Most image hosting sites will have a spot to copy it quickly (some even have it already formatted to BBC code).

Once you have the URL copied (will start with "http" and end with "jpg/gif/png"), you paste it into your message here. If the code is already BBC formatted, you're all set. If not, you need to add [ IMG ] in front of the URL, and [ /IMG ] behind it, without the spaces, (or you can click the little icon above the message box that looks like a tiny Mona Lisa painting and it will add the code for you).

Can you post the link here? Where are you hosting the image?

Edit to add // You can even link images from your Dropbox if you use that! The process is slightly more tricky as you need to fiddle with the URL but if interested I can link a tutorial how to do that. (I've got it bookmarked as I always forget how to do it...)

Please do link it! Love to at least put an image of what I want instead putting a link for people to go.

If you already know how to get a share link you can skip to step 2. You'll still need to use the IMG tags to get the image to show up the way Kiwi described.

So I grab the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vvx4pdw2nnivblx/Aithne_by_JunkDrawerAdopties_viaDA_v1_sig.png?dl=0

Change the url and add the tags:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

You need to right-click the image and choose "Copy image address" (the link should end with .jpg/.png/.gif). If you just put a link to the Flickr page, it's not going to show up. Super cute art, by the way ^.^

Post by: Luxrayx on November 30, 2019, 12:51:03 PM: No... I got the link by clicking the download button on the image page, then "view all sizes". I don't know if that's the only way to do it, but you can copy the image address from there.
