The Dollhouse / Re: Best doll choice to make a custom with?
« on: June 18, 2013, 09:30:16 AM »
Integrity's "Fashion Royalty" dolls are really well made and very nicely articulated-  they are definitely thicker (and bigger) than MH-  (1:6 size).  I've seen some amazing customs with these dolls...

The price point on these are a bit much though, be warned.

LIV dolls are nice (ebay, TRU), but with glass eyes it limits what you may wanna get into. I prefer Barbie.

Off Topic / Tattoo Script
« on: March 04, 2013, 01:51:38 PM »
There is a possibility of a tattoo in the near future. Just a word, not a full script or anything lengthy.

I wondered what everyone/anyones opinions are on different scripts/fonts. Is there something that should be avoided? Anything over used? What is your impression of different types of script?

We're thinking a font called Lobster Two (http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/lobster-two) would be good?

I don't know how much I can say here, but someone claiming self-defense doesn't need to use those two weapons in the manner in which she used them.
I think so too, no real way to excuse it. At least in my opinion “I don’t remember” just isn’t gonna explain defensive wounds.

She's nutty as squirrel poo! I think she's a complete sociopath and I'll bet she admitted guilt to her lawyers who have coached her very well to avoid the death penalty!

She's def. over-coached. I agree! It's kinda too bad the Jury doesn't know the several attempts her lawyers have made to try and put the death penalty off the table. But I supposed that could come off as prejudicial.

The Dollhouse / Re: Barbie expert needed? Or something?

Sadly, Fashion Royalty has a Much higher price point. We're talking over a $100 for a single doll usually.

Asian males, the easiest way is to buy Barbie's DoTW (Dolls of The World): Japanese Ken.

For asian female, you can get any DoTW form asian countries. Such as: Korea, Japan, China. They also have several that fit the bill from the 80s to current.

I Can be... is a barbie play line. Just look for I can be President, and they have an asian doll. I've seen her both at Toys R Us and Walmart.

You will find little to no articulation with the dolls listed above. However you can rebody them. Women on Fashionistas (you can get your "white girl" this way) and Ken on a Harley Davidson Ken body (the only truly articulated male body available from Barbie - they have a semi-articulated male Fashionistas doll"Ryan" or "Ken").

If you use ebay, under dolls there is a category for barbie and you can find mix-lots sometimes or go specific to Nude Dolls and find them for lower prices than store-bought. Same with clothing, you'd have to just look around for what fits your "inspired" standards. ;]

Hope this helps.

ALSO: Ideals and inspiration, you'll find sometimes you can just mod the paint job on a "white doll."

Has anyone been following the case of Jodi Arias? It's been streamed online and on InSession for weeks/months.

What's everyone's thoughts on the case? Her guilt (if any)? Alternative theories?

Came for the ponies and was pleased *VERY* pleased to find dolly people too! ;D

I've just recently wandered back, currently I'm more into the dolls but I still have the goal of re-collecting my childhood ponies.

Thanks ^_^ I thought it was a Kenner at first but it doesn't seem so!

I believe you're correct. I think it's a Kenner "Baby Heartbeat"

(Just for Ref: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1977-G-M-F-G-I-Kenner-Baby-Heartbeat-Doll-14-Tall-/121016728653)

The Last Victim by Jason Moss
"A True-Life Journey into the Mind of the Serial Killer"

It's about a young man who begins writing famous serial killers. It's an old book and I'm mostly reading it because I stumbled upon an article that said the author killed himself in 2006. I was surprised and I remember my grandma reading this book when I was a kid. So why not read it myself?

I am also re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with my fiance. Everyone should know who Harry Potter is and what thats about.  Right?

Wired (Skinned Trilogy, book 3) by Robin Wasserman

Only have a couple chapters left on this one. It's been about a young woman who has her body destroyed in a car crash and then her mind is downloaded into a new body. Basic beginning but has lots of build upon it that leans toward conspiracy and the dangers of a technology driven society. It's sent in the future (obviously.) Sadly it's been my least favorite of the trilogy.
