Hi everyone. I had the silliest idea and wanted to make a "Your Character Here" for a long time. It's been a while since a silly cute cat going "pop-pop-pop" has been circulating on the internet so I got this idea of taking inspiration from it to make a popping pony for everyone asking. Quote from https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/pop-catWide-Mouthed Popping Cat, also known as Pop Cat, refers to a series of videos in which use two images of a cat named Oatmeal, one with its mouth closed, and the other photoshopped as if the cat is holding it wide open in the shape of an O. The images have been used to create videos in which the cat lip syncs various songs, similar to Baby Eats Camera memes. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's a bit rough around the edges, but I managed to make a template so I could quickly draw your favorite pony doing this cute pop-pop-pop face. Hi everyone ! I'm back with a customized toy again. It is The True Psychopath's OC (On DeviantArt) and he loves it so I'm happpy. This is my sixth official custom. The raised leg has been a repositioning of the original leg, using polymer clay (Apoxie Sculpt) and wire. Everything has been painted by hand, using acrylics and chalk pastels for subtle details. There are traces of watercolor pencils too. The hair has been implanted by handusing nylon hair bought on Mylittlecustoms (Hot pink : "Heartthrob" / Blue : "Forget-me-not") and random yarn I found all over the house. I really like that blend and it suits the character's randomness very well. I hope you like it. Have a nice day, take care. Rose. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Hello everyone, hope you are doing good. It seems that the website http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/ is down. When I try to access it, I get a white page with only "503 Service Unavailable No server is available to handle this request. " written on it. Is the owner okay ? Will the website ever come back ? I'm a bit concerned. Have a good day, take care. Rose

Hi everyone ! I miss the Draw Together threads, so I'm making my own, in the hopes it will inspire the wonderful artists that you are. Hi everyone, I hope you are doing good. ^^So, three weeks ago, I felt like making a cute animation. It's not a deep story or anything, it's more to get the hang of this whole animating process, my software, the tools, the motion etc..., because all of my previous animation attempts were very short. I decided I wanted to step up a bit. ^^ I hope the end result will look nice. The downside is that my drawing tablet broke a long time ago, so I do everything using my mouse. It's extremely tedious and a bit limiting, but I manage. Its size is 1280x720 and runs at 6 frames per second. Here's what I made so far over the course of three weeks. First off, the animatic ! It roughly shows every main elements of the full animation, so you can get an idea of what it's about and I can keep track of my progress.Second is where I'm at so far with the lineart and color of the body and eyes. The pony still lacks his mane and wings. The rest of the animation is still in the storyboard phase. And with that, here's where I'm currently at, drawing his mane. And when I'll be done, I'll be drawing his wings. And when it's complete, I'll be moving on to the rest of the project, following the same steps. At the very end, I will add a bit of shading and a better lighting overall + the finishing touches.I hope you like it. I'm quite proud of it, even if it's not perfect. I will get better eventually, step by step. ^^ Have a nice day, take care. =) Rose.

Hi everyone ! I hope you all are doing good. ^^ Yesterday, I spent my whole afternoon drawing this very small animation. I've never done anything quite like it before, and I don't have a tablet at the moment so it was made with the mouse. It's nothing much, I just tried to practice animate from what I've learned and observed over time. I still have some pacing issues but I guess I will get better next time. ^^ I hope you like it. It's also available on DeviantArt. ^^ visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThanks a lot for reading this topic. Have a nice day ! Rose.

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing good. ^^ A few months ago, I made a custom pony of my OC. It was nice, I liked the paint job, but not so much the hair and wings, so I upgraded them. Now she has nylon hair instead of yarn and really pretty wings. I love the new result way much more. ^^ I hope you do as well. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Hi everyone ! I've made another custom recently, this is Cerulean Comet, a friend's OC. The base is a Mc Donald's Rainbow Dash figure. I've removed the nylon tail and sculpted a solid one out of wire, papier mâché and air-dry clay. I'm really happy with the result. I hope you like it too. ^^ As her symbol is a comet, it glows in the dark. That's pretty neat to look at in real life, but impossible to capture with a camera, I'm sorry. ^^' visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's far from perfect and a little bumpy at places, but I guess it's okay. Hi everyone ! A friend asked me to customize one of her childhood ponies. She wanted something with a space theme and horns, so there it is. It has nebulae all over her body, stars and eyes inspired from the famous black hole picture we've gotten recently. It looks a bit better in real life. Horns and tail were made with "papier mâché" and wire. Everything was painted with Acrylic paints, fur is wool and glitter is iridescent glitter. Everything was then sealed in numerous coats of varnish. Not too fond of the horns, but I can't go back without destroying it entirely so.. *shrug*. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSome details also glow in the dark, but it is very faint. Some big stars, her eye shines and the nebulae themselves. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThere's a little golden and silver Saturn on her leg. That's because she has the solar system running on her body. Starting from her tail tip, the fuzzy yellow fur is the sun, then Mercury, Venus, Earth and Moon, Mars, the Asteroid belt, Jupiter and Saturn. I didn't know where to put Neptune and Pluto though. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHere's the details on her sides. That's the Butterfly Nebula. I sparkled it up with some glitter as you can tell. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHere's the other one, as well as Jupiter and Saturn. It's not a nebula in particular, but I was thinking of the Milky Way when painting it. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginShe has a symbol on her forehead, a shooting star with an iridescent jewel in its core. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHere's how it looked like in the first place. I had to sand off it raised symbol and fill up its eye sockets with air-dry clay and more papier mâché. I hope you like this custom. It took me a lot of time and effort. I've seen it on my desk for so long, I don't know if it is actually looking good or not. Have a great day ! Rose.

Hi everyone. Since I've heard of the 3D pen, I instantly fell in love with the possibilities so, a couple of years ago, I got one and even though I use it about once a year, it's still worth it. It's pretty neat to doodle some art from time to time. I have a custom G4 Flutter pony project lying around on my desk for a few months now. I first tried to make her wings with metal wire and iridescent plastic like I've seen a Youtuber do for a custom MH doll. The problem I had faced was scale. The plastic wouldn't keep in place on the wire and it was an absolute pain to make two times a decent and similar enough frame. Anyway, lots of trouble, everything was way too small for that technique. So I got an idea, making the frames and other details using melted plastic filament. And it worked. The result is rather wonky, but it's a first time, a proof of concept of some sorts. Since the iridescent film is sensitive to heat, it would fuse to the filament and be kept in place. You just need to avoid accidentally melting it with the nozzle itself or it makes a tear. There's also no risk of rust and it's pretty light. It's even resistant enough for light play. I've only stabbed the wings in place but it could be fixed with a bit of glue from the inside. So yeah, on to the pictures. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFirst glance. Her mane is poorly made, I will upgrade it eventually. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginBack view. It was tricky to make the tabs the same size. As you can see, the lines are rather rough and wobbly. I need to find a balance between patience, practice and sanding off the bumps properly. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginCloseup on the wing. I'm not lying, it IS bumpy. But I really think we're getting somewhere with this technique so I want to share it to you. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI like this pic. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginHere's my second attempt. I used clear filament for these ones. Since Flutter Ponies in French are named "Dragonfly Ponies (Poney Libellule)", well, I made dragonfly wings for this Morning Glory. I hope you like them. ^^ visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI think they are a bit better. Still wobbly, but it doesn't show too much. I like to think is makes them look more "natural", but that won't stop me from refining them in the future. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginAs for the tutorial, it is kinda simple. All you need is a 3D pen, some filament, some iridescent plastic and a paper and pen/pencil for drawing the concept art. Wing tutorial 1. Trace your wing on paper. One is enough.
2. Trace over the lines with your 3D-pen.
3. Flip your plastic structure so you see the flattest side.
4. Lay a piece of iridescent plastic over it. Tape it so it doesn't move.
5. Trace the wing again over the first one so it encases the film. That's where you need to be careful and quick enough so you don't tear the film with you pen's nozzle.
6. You can carefully un-tape the whole piece piece and trim the excess film with a pair of scissors. Cut close to the filament, but leave a tiny edge.
7. Now you can melt the edge on the wing frame using the side of the pen's nozzle. You can now add more filament all around the perimeter or the wing so it's 100% sealed.
8. Build a thin tab on the wing's base.
9. Stab/drill holes on your pony's back with the tool of your choice and then quickly put the wings in place. I you have a flutter pony, doodle a hook shape so it clips in place on their original wing tab.
10. It's done ! Of course, you can practice and refine the wings while you're building them using other tools. (Sandpaper, nail clippers,..) I hope this gave you ideas. I want to try and make more wings. Probably using transparent filament, of even glow in the dark ! Lots is possible with a 3d-pen. Thanks for reading, have a nice day. Rose.

Hey guys. I feel like the term "UK ponies" is a bit misleading.
I have the hypothesis that those same ponies were also distributed on the continental EU as much as in the UK. I'd like to gather some information that would (dis)prove my thesis. If you're from Europe other than UK (France, Italy, Scandinavia,...), have you found "UK ponies" in the wild ? Like, enough to assume they were not imported as a souvenir ?
Personally, I have a NSS North Star. That's about the only "uk pony" I can recall at the moment. I'd like to know what you've found and conclude that maybe it would be more suitable to call them "EU Ponies" rather than UK. Because I find that rather misleading and incorrect. I really though those would only exist out there, but I strongly feel it's not the case.
Thanks for your help, have a nice day !

Summoning the G2 experts here lol. Last year I bought two G2 playets, almost complete and with their box. (Very damaged, but written in French). As I was opening them up (they're not MIB, no worries), I discovered this pretty Dainty Dove with her chapel. She is very yellowed, but I saw her pink streak in her mane and tail and it seemed to look a lot like an unfaded fading pink. I would like to make sure to display her in good conditions. Do you have a Chapel Playset Dainty Dove ? Is her 2nd streak in her mane fading pink in your opinion ? When in doubt, I'll just keep her somewhere dark, but I want to know, that would be neat to display her in her playset someday. Thanks for your help, have a nice day !
