Update On The G1 Action Vinyls!

I want to buy them all.  I forgot are these being sold in stores or only on their website?  Are they being sold individually or a few ponies to a set, also are they going to be blind boxes or do we actually know what we're getting?

This is what i remember from the old thread, They will be in retail locations and also on the website. They will probably be individually boxed, and they will be blind boxed. You will also be able to buy them as a set of 16 as well.

Also I found a review of one of TLS's blind box TMNT figures with a ton of pictures for those curious about the general quality.

Thanks for the info.  That's a lot of money to pay for something you don't know what you're getting.  I would hate to spend that much and get a repeat.

Not lately. Are they always this low key after announcements?  Maybe they're hard at work fixing the prototypes coloring mistakes?

I was hoping there would be more info right now.. I do need to find out what stores in my area would carry these as a certain chain is supposed to close by Oct 31 and the store here is not sure when they will be fully closed..

I prefer to see what I'm getting as well. I can understand that people like the surprise and thrill of hunting. And it's alright for the little $2 blind bags, but for stuff like this or Breyers Treasure Hunt horses? It's a little too much sometimes.

That happened to me with some other Blind Bags that I ordered online.. got 3 in a set and two of the 3 were the same figure..

Edit: However, even if you get doubles you can trade with someone else, that's what I've been doing for the Funk Mystery Minis recently

My dad collected sports cards and stuff. same idea, blind package with rares hidden every so often. Trading among other collectors is common. and MLP looks like it'll be popular enough to be able to do with connections from a hobby shop, or a local buy/sell/trade page so there's no shipping involved.

I am super excited. I am pretty broke at the moment, but eventually I'll have all of them. LOVE the unique proportions. they're a fresh take.

I would love to get my hands on these. However, I read somewhere that they were going to be $14.99 a pony. I hope that's not right. I was really hoping they were going to be around the $7 mark.

I haven't seen them up close, but sounds about right for the level of detail and quality I anticipate. I hope they are of good quality to reflect the price point. Glad they didn't poll g1 collectors like Hasbro did with the 25th anniversary G1's sets. No wonder they looked so terrible- $5 per figure that size gets junk, never mind a stunning package... the respondents didn't want to pay near enough for a collector quality item.
