I have the backcard to the Tropical Ponies and the Sweet Steps Ballerinas, I particularly love the backcards that mention unicorn magic. I also like later sets that have four ponies and one story for them all to share because the backcard is part of the set if you get all four.
But I like them more for the art than anything else. The pony exists in art form, not just toy form.

People are paying 65 for that...I think maybe I remember it...did it come with its brush.....I was thinking "okay if that thing goes to another buyer I'll use the fifty on Sunsplasher...." and then (you?) got it! Now I have Sunsplasher Congratulations on your beautiful Flower Fantasy! I already have Sweet Blossom, its a very hard set to complete. Kind of one of those that takes years, they are all rare and worth a lot. I feel its because Hasbro barely released them (I only ever saw Sweet Blossom for sale as a kid). But they would have been popular, especially with a RARE GREEN UNICORN (ha ha just kidding). And you don't really have to complete the set, they blend in with other TAF and Victorian (Perfume Puff) types very nicely. Because of the henna tattoos they look good on display with the Princess Brush 'n Grows.

the dark version is more rare for MO and the only color for store version. I think it is the same color as Starglow but I could be wrong.

yeah I have no idea why she suddenly got so pricey I was thinking she was a $40-50ish tops pony . Admittedly there does seem to be both a light and dark (discolored??) version so not sure if the lighter green is closer to factory/more rare??
I am in the same boat as you, looking for one but not going to spend $100
best of luck!!
Yes, me neither, good luck to you too!
I think the dark bodied one is more rare and sometimes mismatched (dark body/bright green head or vice versa), but I don't think it is as popular. IMO it is prettier than the store version one (which is great in itself...but looks a little like an alligator coming out of the water rather than just a starlight night with a UFO), but not as pretty as the bright green/ more common one. Wish I had one!

ambitious and much needed project. Very beautifully laid out page. Easy navigation and everything.
I do want to say that if you offer a seller on ebay a price, the item is listed as having sold for the price it was originally advertised, even though it was not sold at that price. Also, I think some of these prices used to garner a mean were from before the prices of the ponies got to their modern level. I started to think this when I saw the colorswirl ponies. That just is not right-if you want Springy she's expensive but you'll find her, Lovebeam is more expensive but if you're patient you'll find her, Starswirl is legitimately hard to find and should be the most expensive. I'm not saying you weren't right at one time, or that MOSTLY YOU DID GET IT RIGHT IMO but the prices are shifting all over the place, so I have some discrepancy about that.
Did Quackers and Bright Eyes shift places in value in the last five or ten years? It looks like it, not just from this site, but in general.

i saw a "grown-up" G4 Spike toy and I'm pretty sure it had wings. it was also some kind rare, expensive thing though.
Guardians of Harmony Spike?
That's it! Guess it didn't have wings.
