Best thrift stores for ponies?

I got super lucky with a Goodwill MIB Comic-Con pony but having gone to about 7 Goodwill stores in two different states that's the only pony I ever found. 6 out of those 7 stores didn't even have a toy section.

What thrift stores tend to stock ponies? I know it's hard finding just one but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I've had the best luck at Savers and only because they're the only place where I've found G1's and even then, it's only been like two or three of 'em. I've found tons of G3's and Mickey D's G4's. None of the thrift stores by me really have any toys besides Savers.

I have had the best luck at random thrift stores those little ones that pop up in run down strip malls and are only there for a few months if you can hit them the first week or so they are open you can get some good stuff

I found a bag of ponies at goodwill earlier this year. It was the first time I had ever gone to look for them. It had three g1s, two g2s, and a couple of Mcponies.
I have found plenty of g3's at once upon a child, if you have one of those nearby.

Anyway I think it sometimes depends on where you look, but mostly luck.

I've found tons of G3's and 2 G1's at Value Village. I haven't found a pony at Good Will yet. I need to find out what other thrift stores are around here to check out.

We have a few kid's only thrift stores near me where they actually buy the stuff from you.  I've had the best luck there.

I found tons of G1's at the Salvation Army.

When I was seven.

I haven't found squat in the last few years.  I found a lamp.  And a vintage Japanese doll case.  That has been the extent of my luck.  Seriously. 

Oh, I found some fakies, but I don't buy them.

Lol, yeah thrift stores here never have ponies. I go through all craigslist yard sales that say they have toys, eat a good breakfast, burn through a lot of gas, and put some miles on my car. Haven't found any ponies in over a year now! :/ Then again, im always at work during yard sale days n hours (stupid retail demands lol!)

Nope Party, I agree entirely. Don't share your secrets if you want pony-hunting luck. The minute I told someone, they were onto it like a flash. So I don't tell my secrets anymore.

It depends where you are. As far as I know, there are no other MLP collectors that live in my area. I think only 1 or 2 people might live about an hour away. It's not likely anyone here will be in my town looking for ponies, so I'm not worried. (Not that I'm very active in hunting; in fact, I rarely go looking.)

None! In my experience for G1 anyway...unless you want G3s and then I usually find quite a few locally - found Bowtie and a couple of others last week! But in general any "charity" shop in the UK is worth a nosy I find even if I strike out most of the time.

I found a bag of G3 the first time I went to the Goodwill in wealthy neighborhood a few weeks ago. Parents in that area give away everything - I saw a giant plush lab, multiple stuffed animals from zoos, several books of a kid's series, etc. I'd try to go to thrift stores in rich areas. It's working for me!

I don't see G1's at thrifts stores much anymore, at least not here in WI:(  Flea markets though seem to be a little better.
