It’s been a while since I was on here, hasn’t it haha.
So I am moving soon, and am a bit paranoid about moving with my ponies 😅 Does anyone have any tips? If it helps, the new house is about a 2 hour drive away from where I live now.

I am aware rehairing is difficult and I never even have the energy to clean my ponies, but wow am I feeling the urge to do a Bumblesweet custom. Rehaired in black perfume puff style hair (maybe with a small streak of white) with a bee headband, wings, and fuzzy bee stripe socks 😍 It would be even cuter if I could paint and/or cast, I’d make a custom g2 body version. Idk just felt like putting this out here lmao.

So I’ve heard that people use swarovski cystals to replace g2 eyes, as they have exact color matches. I think peridot is the one for green? I want to replace my sky skimmer’s missing crystal but while I’m pretty sure I know the color to use, I’m looking up crystals and theres like 500 different shapes with names that don’t really tell me anything D: What shape am I supposed to use?

So I decided a few weeks ago that I do actually like a good handful of the g4 toys and have decided to start collecting those as well. Are there any issues they are prome to I should look out for? Or are they just not old enough for us to know that yet?
I’m especially concerned about the water-filled ones, as they are some of the ones I’m most interested in obtaining, but with Hasbro’s increasing lack of quality control, I am wary of spending money on them only for them to rust, mold, or break.
Any info/advice about g4 collecting would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I absolutely LOVE a lot of the seemingly unpopular or at least less talked-about g1 pony lines. The sundazzles, rockin’ beats, sweetheart sister, and baby brother ponies to name a few! Do people not like them or have I just missed all the conversations? Feel free to ask me why *I* like them if you don’t see the appeal or w/e, maybe we can start a conversation about them here!

My haircut Tootsie came in the mail today! If you’ve seen my accidental highly controversial thread you’ll know I like variety in my pony hair. She’s even cuter and prettier in person, I love her soooo much!!! She needs her insides cleaned unfortunately, every cheap G1 comes with a price haha. This’ll be my first tail rust case, thankfully its not too bad yet! Does anyone on here still sell them? Most of the posts in search are from 2012 or older lmao. I’m interested in getting some I had as a kid, gens 1-3 before they started getting weird. Ebay is all well and good but I much rather buy from fellow collectors or someone who really needs to get them gone.

I don’t have much of a presence on the Arena, so I’m looking for alternate ways to sell. Ebay and Etsy have way too many fees, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck or at least experience with Bonanza or Depop or things like that that could tell me about how it is to be a seller on these sites?

I’ve searched myself, and google/youtube only turn up a handful at best. I’m looking mostly for g3 and g4. Articles, videos, anything goes as long as it’s hairstyl related. Don’t need cleaning tutorials, I have plenty of those. Hopefully this thread will help others as well as myself! Spotted some ponies in those toy bags and several were ones I wanted! There was other stuff mixed in with them not pictured. Overall payed about 10 usd for the whole batch. Gonna clean em all up and the ones I’m not keeping will of course be up for sale/trade. Is it like a crime in the community to cut a pony’s hair? Like a g3 or g4, never a g1-2. I bought a g1 with a haircut from a kid long ago presumably and I’ve seen a few g3s with haircuts and they look really good on some of them?
I wish pony hair was more diverse in length and texture instead of just in color. There’s only so many hairstyles you can manage with the same length ya know? And it gives them more personality! But I’ve also never cared about having a flawless MIB/MOC collection or anything, the very concept of keeping them sealed away saddens me.
Anyways I’d just like to hear people (respectfully) talk about it and what the various opinions are in the community! Please don’t attack me lmao
