styling custom hair: gels and glues?

Hi peeps!
I've got a quick question for styling custom hair. Is there any sort of gel (or glue/spray that will work like gel) that would work with nylon hair? For instance, for keeping a rolled fringe in place. I've never done a style that has required gel before, but I have one now that would benefit from something to keep the hair in place.
I'm assuming gel for humans is a no-go, as it contains oils and such. ^^'

Mod Podge! One of its good uses for ponies You can water it down for more control.

If you can't, any white tacky glue would work too.
