Very Hard to find and a lot of people are looking for them.  There is also 3   Flutterbye Versions and a sundance Version.  The final price on the one on ebay does not surprise me at all.

Just like Shelti said, she hardly comes up for sale and she's very sought after.

Yep defenitely a supply and demand thing, I know there are a few argies I would pay a pretty hefty price to get,    just because they don't pop up often

I think the price spike has been from a shift in popularity or collector interest. I bought this pony loose in mint condition with original comb & ribbon (decarded by previous owner) about 5 years ago for around $25-30. At that time no one was really looking for Argie Sparkle ponies. I got mine from ebay & I don't think a single person bid against me. Currently they are in high demand, thus more people bidding & pushing the value up.

I second what KitKat said. A lot of veteran collectors have moved to, or expanded from US and Uk ponies to the exotic ponies like Argies, Venies, Spanish, and Thailand. Popularity is playing a big part of the current price craziness.

That's insane that she was so high! I remember getting a whole pile of MOC ones about 10 years ago on Ebay- and at less than $20 each!

all the argies in my want list are htf...
plus if you click on my sig you can see prices for my argies which indicate rarity too

i am sooo grateful that i already have that girl... mine is mint off card and i think i paid like $70 for her about a year or 2 ago...
these prices are crazy lately

You're right no one seemed to like the Brillitos. Im not crazy about sparkle ponies but there is such a shortage of yellow unicorn in the g1 line.
