Nirvana baby dish? Silver hearts around outside (argie/german/other?)

Hi there


I have been asking about this odd baby dish I have on the corral.  The hearts painted around the outside are in silver.


Partypony suggested could it have come with the argie babies and then I remembered I got it alongside a 'reverse' german rattle (purple top, white base)

I'm not convinced they are custom painted because the painting is super neat and only on the 'face' of the hearts if that makes sense i.e no paint at all on the sides of the hearts or dripped on the dish inbetween etc. They look factory.

its not argie, they dont have hearts at all

I'd say custom. Whoever did it could have used a silver felt-tip pen and there wouldn't be any paint lines or something like that at all. I'm doubtful that Harbro cared about tiny details like that too!

i wonder if it could be a non-pony item... does that make sense? i know princess hats got remade and sold with other things, i had a fakie princess comb once too.

i must admit the silver does add i could be custom as trish has said.

I'd say custom. Whoever did it could have used a silver felt-tip pen and there wouldn't be any paint lines or something like that at all. I'm doubtful that Harbro cared about tiny details like that too!

True, BUT in other countries, Hasbro let outside factories obtain licenses to manufacture the ponies, which is why there are variants from those other countries - they significantly deviated from Hasbro specs in a lot of cases It's possible that this is a variant accessory. Or a mold recycle for a different Hasbro toy. Those are the two possibilities I would assume to be most likely.

ETA: found the pink dish and the baby brother it belongs to! sending you the live auction link for that as well. No silver, though! So maybe the one you have is really carefully hand painted??

Yes that's pretty basic facts about nirvanas and variants in general you're bringing up... I'm just saying it a bit out of place and people here would have known if similar ones have popped up in the past and it doesn't look like anyone here recognize it.

Just wanted to say a child being crafty with a felt-tip pen isn't entirely impossible
