Title: What to do when eBay buyer doesn't pay?
Post by: xTic_Tac_Toex on January 15, 2018, 10:08:51 AM
Hi everyone,

I recently sold a large lot of ponies for quite a high price. The bidder had a (0) feedback score, which had me worried from the start. 2 days have passed and they haven't paid or responded to my messages. Pretty sure they aren't going to either.

What are my options? Do I have to wait so I can open a case against them, then wait it out, then finally able to close the case and relist? I've had to do this in the past, and it's taken a number of weeks before I can actually relist. It's a huge waste of my time...I just want to be able to relist the ponies asap.

Please can anyone advise me on this? Thank you <3

You have to wait 4 days to open a case. Then another 4 before you can opt to "close" it against the buyer. Ebay will give them a strike and you will receive credit for your fees. Agreed it is a HUGE waste of time but sadly nothing can really be done. :(

Also, you can block certain buyers who have low or negative feedback scores from bidding. ;)

Unfortunately this isn't possible anymore.

Also it is now impossible to give buyers negative or even neutral feedback.  :/   One of the most annoying and harmful changes that eBay has made.  Sellers can ONLY leave buyers positive feedback, meaning even worst buyer will have 100% positive feedback.

Thank you for the advice StrawberryFair, I guess I'll just have to wait it out then :( And that is infuriating LadyMoondancer. 'The customer is always right' is such a harmful bias. :(
