Pony Corral / Re: Rarest or least common Sea Pony?
« on: July 21, 2016, 11:01:41 PM »
I managed to purchase the whole second set of adult sea ponies, complete with shells + accessories in mint condition for $500 total from a lovely lady who was getting rid of her childhood toys. Always keep asking around and you might score a lucky deal! :)

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / FOR SALE ♥ Tonka Keypers
« on: April 16, 2016, 08:43:14 PM »
We have here two Tonka Keypers for sale from my Keypers collection - I treasure them very much and they have a special place on my display shelf. Give them a good home!

I will put these up here for a few weeks. If there's no interest i'll move them to my etsy page https://www.etsy.com/shop/pixiemafia

Please feel free to shoot me a PM if there's any questions xo

They're in fantastic condition for their age - hardly any paint wear or discolouration, and superb hair.
Here they are with baby firefly for size comparison  ^.^:

Off Topic / Re: Anyone seen the new Jem & The Holograms movie trailer?
« on: November 10, 2015, 08:59:49 PM »
I'm not really surprised that it bombed so bad it got pulled after only two weeks in theaters here.
i had a co-worker who took her daughter to go see Jem since the daughter got hooked on the tv show when it was airing on the hub/discoverykids/whateveritscalled and she was rather disappointed in the movie.

her mom said that the Lizzie McGuire movie was better than Jem -snork-

Aaaah. I loved The Lizzie McGuire Movie when I was a kid

Trader & Shipping Support / eBay seller issue - unpaid item case??
« on: October 27, 2015, 10:38:23 AM »
OK enough is enough and it seems like i'm getting nowhere with the eBay help team.

I've committed to buy an item (non-pony) on October 7th from a seller with decent positive feedback. Afterwards I tried to make the PayPal payment as usual but received an error message stating that the seller's PayPal account is unable to receive payment transactions at the moment. I immediately contacted the seller to rectify it and was told by them that their PayPal account is down and instructed me to continue the monetary transaction on their own website.

I was very cool about it at first, but I didn't want to proceed with that while the eBay transaction is active as I feel extremely insecure on my end as an eBay buyer. I clarified my issue with the seller and nicely requested them to cancel my purchase so I can proceed with purchasing directly from them instead. To cut the long story short, each time I message them to cancel my purchase I either get blatantly ignored or they repeatedly tell me to make the payment on their website.

Here's our message thread consisting of me talking to myself mostly:

Spoiler

Dear scr***,

Hello, I tried to make payment for this item via Paypal but I received a notification on-screen that your Paypal account is unable to accept payments. I've attached a screenshot of it for your reference - can you help rectify this please?

Thank you!

Dear sarah***,

Hi we are having paypal problems, currently the only way to complete thye transaction ius via our website (*ommitted out)

Dear scri***,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Does that mean I have to purchase the item through the website itself?

Dear sarah***,

Yes. The website is specifically for these products and the prices are all the same too.

Dear scri***,

Okay i'll do that. In that case, is it possible if you cancel this existing ebay transaction please?

Dear scri***,

Hello, following up on my previous message - any news on this?

Dear sarah***,

Paypal is still down and not likely to return, the only way to complete this transaction is via ** UK website.

Dear scr***,

From my understanding eBay doesn't encourage external payment transactions as a form of assurance and protection for both parties, so this existing transaction has to be cancelled first before I am able to proceed to purchasing directly from your website. I am unable to cancel this on my end as I can only open a case on October 17th, so I was wondering if you are able to cancel this as a seller?

Dear scr***,

I'm awaiting a cancellation request from you in the resolution centre, afterwhich i'll proceed to purchasing from your website directly. As a buyer i'm unable to send a cancellation request.
Thank you!

Dear scr***,

Hello again,

I've emailed eBay regarding this since I am unable to cancel this transaction as a buyer.
They advised to open a cancel transaction case on your end through the following steps:

1) Go to resolution center
2) Under the "Report an Unpaid Item" button
3) Enter the item number
4) Click the "Continue" button
5) Select "We have both agreed not to complete the transaction."

I hope you can follow through this please so I am able to proceed with purchasing this item from you directly from your website. I do not feel secure doing an external transaction while this eBay transaction is open - hope this is understandable! Looking forward to hearing from you soon in the next few days.

Thanks

At this point i'm already feeling VERY iffy and uncomfortable, and refuse to pay because from my understanding it's discouraged to carry out eBay transactions externally and also a violation for sellers to change payment method after the sale. I tried my best to contact eBay for help via email since the seller refuses to communicate with me but I received a typical cookie cutter response to my ordeal (the type of info you can easily find in their FAQ) which is not useful at all  I don't  even think they bothered to read what I wrote in the email.

And recently out of the blue (after days of zero further communication), an unpaid item case was opened against me by the seller.  :argh: :pullhair:   It's a total suckfest because I can't do anything about it but wait. My option is to wait for the seller to close the case so I can appeal for an unpaid item case. I have positive buyer feedback over the years and I don’t wish to have a strike on my account because of this.

Does anyone have any advice on this??
I have never come across such a problem with sellers on eBay before

Just checked out imbd and it got a rating of 4.1/10.
Is the movie out in the states yet or has anyone watched the whole film? It'll be screening here in my country next month.

Pony Brag Arena / Re: The Little Swap Brag Thread!
« on: October 01, 2015, 09:22:17 AM »
So it turns out my box arrived on Tuesday but I haven't had the time to collect it from the post office till today! Have been pulling two all-nighters in a row trying to complete my essays before the deadline (I procrastinate a lot)  :yikes: Now i'm finally freeeeeee and shall go into a deep sleep soon...

...BUT BEFORE THAT.. *DRUMROLLS*

MY FANTASTIC SWAP BOX FROM THE LOVELY LEDBYRD!

Have you ever seen so much pink goodness in your life??

Such gorgeous wrapping paper! In my favourite colour to boot! I love the wrapper so much i've salvaged some of them like the true hoarder that I am  :) And it's so sweet that Ledbyrd's little girl made that drawing for me. So cute and precious!

I had so much fun digging out all the fun treats. I love bubblegum especially Hubba Bubba (how'd you guess!) - it's been years since I had them. The smaller bubblegum sweets are perfect for sharing with my nieces and nephews! The plastic mini horse/unicorn figurines are adorable as well and was a fun surprise

Oh!! I can't tell you how much I love this card!! Firefly is one of my favourite G1s and the fact that it's handmade is an A+ for me. And those cool gems! Did you draw this, Ledbyrd?

More handmade awesomeness.. Ledbyrd's so talented! I adore sea ponies too and it's so cute that they're made into jewellery. Realised I flipped the sea ponies the wrong side after taking this photo - they are suppose to be pinkish rather than purple.

More candy!! I never had those Ice Breaker Sours before so i'm pretty excited to taste them. I have a mad passion for Lisa Frank stickers and I could only get those online so.. thank you so much!!! And of course souveniers from Canada - magnet's going straight on my fridge while I need to find someplace to paste the sticker  :satisfied:

Last but not least, the ponies!

Not one, but two Baby pony necklaces! I was pleasantly surprised! I've been looking for this particular Pinkie Pie and another wonderful merry-go-round pony for my collection! Both of them are amazing! Baby Splashes is the first Baby Fancy Pants pony I have, so she's special  ^.^

I can't thank you enough for the wonderful box Ledbyrd, I really do love everything  It immediately brightened my day after a stressful period. This is my first swap and it has been such a rad experience  :good:

Aww i'm really glad you like your box Seachanger  :tackleglomp:
I'm also relieved that everything inside made it one piece.. even the star confetti looks in place! I couldn't find an exact 6x6x6 box near me or I would've crammed more bigger goodies, but all turns out well! Also if you're unable to find specific blind bags, don't hesitate to let me know. I will try to find them for you here  ;) xo
