Greek White-Haired Cotton Candy
« on: July 05, 2013, 04:01:40 PM »
My greek white haired CC just arrived and just want to get some more information on her please. Have you ever seen one before?

I think she's an authentic white haired CC - the hair is brilliant white all over and not a single hint of pink. Her hair is even whiter than my Indian Minty. And I've never seen faded Greek pink hair.

What's interesting however is that her hair texture is much more similar to Brazilians than Greeks - it's very very coarse.

Also, any tips please on how I can remove the pink dots? I've tried oxyclean and didn't do anything. Thank you! :)

I have no information but I just wanted to say she's lovely. I am becoming more and more enamored with these collector's pose nirvanas.  :lovey:

I was wondering if you had snapped her up :P huge congrats :D

She is VERY pretty! Which Greeks got white hair (minty's hair is not white, its pale green!)? I am having a brain dead moment

The pink dots might be sunfadeable :)

Thank you guys! :)

Whippetcorn - collector pose nirvanas are very addictive :) It's one of my favorite pose.

PKW - now I'm confused lol I could've sworn Minty's hair is supposed to be white :) and thank you for the tips! I might try that and nail polish remover and see what happens. The good thing is I don't have to worry about fading the hair lol. Will the body fade/gets uneven though? Thanks! :)

:) it is very, very pale green you could say eau de nil :) if you have a Greek minty look at the roots of her tail ;)

The best thing to do when sun fading is wrap the pony up in toilet paper so only the marks are showing then place on a sunny window sill :) make sure you keep a very good eye on her.

At least most of her marks are hidden by her mane ;)

She islovely! When I saw her on ebay I assumed the hair was original, though I've not seen one before. The hair just had that look about it.

I can attest to greek minty NOT having white hair - but hey - since when are you expanding into clover ponies??

but back on topic = dunno where the greeks have white hair ponies so maybe that was a test case or something - did that seller give you any hint of where she got it?  That might answer the question

I would say to sunfade = I've had success as well with removing ink bleed (from my baby minty) with acne cream but do not leave that stuff on for more than like an hour or you may get more color loss than just the marks you want to remove

main thing you need is patience and you can have her looking gorgeous :-)

so congrats on your score :-) I like that she looks like French CC in that combo

Thank you guys for all for the advice! Will definitely look into sun fading her in the future. :)

PKW - thanks for letting me know about minty's hair... I've always wondered why it didnt look that white lol I only have the Indian one left and her hair does definitely look very pale green.

Zora - i love french white hair CC too - I think the pink-white combo goes so well together :)

MCM - nope not expanding into minty's (although she was one of my main ponies I collect years ago when I started collecting!) :) I think the seller got this from a flea market.

Thank you guys!
