Another wave of Funko NFT G4 ponies. The fact they're putting common or core ponies in the NFT line like Rarity and Applejack is a sick joke. Daybreaker looks like a really cool sculpt but man is she going to be scalped to high heavens. I was mad having to pay a lot for Princess Luna, I'm going to be even more mad if they bring out Princess Cadance as part of this line as well.

I asked this on the r/FunkoPop board when Princess Luna was announced; the official site says this:

Funko Digital Pop!™ are sold in digital packs starting at $9.99 USD. When you open your packs, you’ll receive random Digital Pop!™. Every pack has a chance to receive a Legendary or Grail Funko Digital Pop!™ that can be redeemed for a limited edition, physical Funko collectible.

So it's pretty close to a damn lottery. You purchase a pack of NFTs like trading cards, and you have a chance of getting a digital POP! inside that can be traded for an IRL POP!. It's absolutely disgusting. I shelled out for Princess Luna, the prince for Wedding Daenerys with Egg is £500+!!! I'm so disgusted with the entire thing, NFTs have CRASHED Funko, you would just earn clean nice cash if you offered the POP!s straight up you utter idiots.

It really does tick me off, it's so insanely stupid!! I mean NFTs are stupid in the first place, but if it was a guaranteed "buy the figure and get a matching NFT" dealio, I could kind of understand that... but the lottery thing is just bonkers. It's infuriating since they've done quite a few that I would GLADLY pay regular price for if they would just release them normally!!! I have noticed these NFT POPs seem to be mostly of properties that are popular, but maybe not very "current" (if that's the word I want), so maybe that has something to do with it... like they think there'll be enough demand to warrant making them, but not enough to justify a regular release? But if that's the case, just make them online exclusives but otherwise a regular release?? It doesn't make any sense at all :/

A Limited Release would have been better and FAIRER. Those who want a particular POP! gladly get the one they want (in my case, Daenerys and Princess Luna). Avatar was also a victim of NFTs, which was shocking as it's so popular. They've got a horror icons drop coming up and that's even WORSE as there are a *lot* of horror collectors, either in general or of a particular franchise!

The fact that Applejack and Rarity, two 'core' ponies, are part of this is just absolutely insulting. They should have been part of the original wave, I STILL don't understand why they weren't. Princess Luna has a devoted fanbase, and no NMM POP! either?!

I forgot to mention the fact that these are core/major characters they're locking behind the NFT paywall - yeah, I don't get it either. If they were variants of previous releases (y'know, gimmicky crap like Glow in the Dark and such) then I'd be like, alright, whatever, it's a gimmick, but... ARGH.

Even setting aside the NFT thing, the whole system is so infuriating. It sounds like the odds of actually winning a figure are slim to none, so what's even the point?? Why wouldn't Applejack and Rarity be regular releases?!?
