I agree with the sentiment that it's not doing well, here in Aus, the same ponies have been on the shelf for years. Within my groups, they're hardly mentioned since we're focusing on all the other gens, especially the Basic fun ponies.
The only one I'm remotely interested in is the Multipack Minty and Jazz Hooves or whatever her name is, since she's very reminiscent of G2 Ivy.

I'm not in Australia, but I can offer some advice 
I would not use spray paint. It usually doesn't dry and it doesn't last. Acrylic paint is recommended. You can brush it on or use an airbrush (but they are expensive if you're not going to customize regularly).
Some people prime their ponies but a lot of us don't.
I'm not familiar with that sealer, but generally you want to use a polyurethane sealer. I don't think you can replicate the shine from the original vinyl. Using a matte sealer is best. You can use a shimmer paint after painting the body and the symbols.
Why would you need to put the head in boiling water to rehair? I've rehaired Styling ponies and didn't need to do that. You just want to use a strong needle and go slow. You can also use a larger needle to help widen the hole before you put the hair in.
You would add the hair after painting is done.
Sweet thank you for your help, just wondering how much you had to pay for your air brusher? I've brushed on paint and I don't like how I kept on leaving brush strokes. I have found ones on aliexpress for $30-$40 AUD and $70 ish AUD on Amazon. And what size of needle would you recommend for the pony?

Waiting for her to be shipped out and I got a mutual contact in America that's looking for the RH Costume Bal girls for me, he's managed to find Style Bae Harper but I'm still looking for Kiki and the Wild Vibez Zombaes Forever.

Hi!
I rescued a G3 Fashion Styling Rainbow Dash from the trash and I'm thinking of customising her, I just need to know other people's experiences and what they use.
What do you use for primer?
Do you think I could use white spray paint as a base then use vinyl paint on top for the details?Or would I have to use spray paint again?
I have a suggestion from a friend to use Jo Sonja's all purpose sealer to use for repairs, dabbing it in a certain way to make it look like the original vinyl but does anyone else have any recommendations?I'm not looking for matte or shiny, I'm looking for just the perfect G3 shine.
Also what should I do first? Spray paint the pony first then put hair in, or put hair in then spray paint? Keep in mind for her head I'll have to keep putting it in hot if not boiling water to reroot her head?
Also if I wanted to make the pony have a shimmer like the first G3 Sweetberry rainbow release, what would I use? A shimmer paint?

I sent off an eBay order, got told by my work that I don't have a shift after I left the house but quickly corrected themselves saying it's next week I don't have a shift.
Got so excited for going home and having fun. Now I have to work at a recycling centre for 8 hours today. I hope I find toys.

I've been listening to Slayyter, Scene Queen, 6arelyhuman and Lil Mariko the most. The song I've been listening to a lot is Stacy's Brother and I've been trying to explore Japanese Jazz Fusion as I want more songs that sound like they're from Catherine.

One of her dolls actually comes with noise cancelling earbuds which is cute. They pretty much chopped up G1 Ghoulia's personality and spread it out to Frankie and Twyla. Twyla also inherited the interest in board games.
About the speech being for kids... I don't doubt that. It was just cringe. At that point I had also watched the Abbey centric episode and Draculaura says "we have to support and uplift the yetis" or whatever, and I cringed pretty hard at that, too, because it's word choice that you would expect from adults talking on Twitter/X. MH was always talking about inclusivity and "freaky flaws" but it was put in monsteriffic terms and made kinda fun for kids. It wasn't so dry.
Yeah I agree, they don't have the same charm and nuance or character traits as G1.

I'm sad the line was cancelled but in some kind of good news, there are production line samples of the Sirenz and clothes of the slumber party line floating about. I've only heard and seen themabout them surfacing in China.
