No, the bags have no markings on them whatsoever. It is common thought that Hasbro had some leftovers, so they stuck them in boxes and gave them to Sears (or was it JCPENNEY?) to distribute/sell.

I have been thinking about this for a long time already, how nice would it be to have a databse to see how many MOC/ MIB of each G1 are out there in the pony community. That would be so interesting. But a lot of work!
