Pony Corral / Re: PC Stardazzle, comb and bracelet?
« on: December 05, 2017, 09:09:01 PM »
I have seen some very different prices for just the pony- everything from 13.00 with a pony showing some wear to 30ish for a nice one.  She doesn't come up so much so I'm not super confident of that estimate, though- just happen to be pricing her the other day.  Not sure about the bracelet but I would think a good price- it's got to be rare!

Just found these with my daughters and I love them!  Our Walmart is fully stocked and now also has a “dozen” kit with 12 (10 eggs and two pre-hatched”.  Great stocking stuffers!

Many congratulations! Outside of my childhood collection, Night Glider is my favorite pony.  Such an elegant pose and design...

I use human hair products most of the time, but for stubborn cases or delicate items I've used things like wig wash and conditioner (delicate/special things) or braid spray and a product called Reel Magic for highly frizzy or dry hair.

I don't try mixing my own things, as I worry about long-term implications for things that haven't been tried before.

Off Topic / Re: What else do you collect?

I do have a few other collections, as most of us seem to!

I collect a few specifics American Girl characters, and I have recently decided to collect delphite dishes.  These are like Jadeite, if you have heard of that, only delphite is a lovely blue color.  It's going to be slow going, however, as those items can get pretty expensive!

The Dollhouse / Re: Cleaning Advice Needed! [Sunshine Family Doll]
« on: June 16, 2017, 08:44:20 AM »
I found a couple of these once and cleaned them up. They seemed to have good hair quality, on par with Barbie.  I cleaned mine with baby shampoo and then a touch of conditioner and it came out well.  If you wanted to be extra careful you could use wig shampoo and conditioner, and wash in cold water.

For the area around the tail hole I have had some success cleaning off those inner ring stains with white paste (not gel) toothpaste- the same kind you use to get rid of tail rust in hair.

Depending on the body shape I either put some on the tip of my finger or the tip of a q-tip and rub, rinse and repeat as necessary.  I've had a few where I couldn't remove all of the stain but it always helps.

Trader & Shipping Support / eBay seller marks item with "invisible" pen?
« on: August 08, 2016, 07:19:18 PM »
I was perusing auctions on EBay and came across a seller who, in their descriptions, says that they 'mark every item they sell with an invisible pen' to prevent people switching items and then returning a different one.

Have you heard of this before? What type of pen would that be?
I can kind of understand a seller being leery of false returns, but I don't want my collectible marked somewhere with some unknown substance that might behave who-knows-how with time.

Thank you everyone!  I do feel sorry that the GSP is so expensive, but from what I have heard I don't think I feel comfortable going first class.  Right now my EBay sales are my side job and my feedback is really important to me.

I will offer her Priority International and see if that is ok with her.  If EBay were just a little more trustworthy in supporting buyers I might be willing to risk it, but... :freak:

Super cool- I love seeing new (to me) G1 ponies!

Hi all,

I have a potential buyer for non-pony item (Fisher Price Little People) who is asking if instead of Ebay's Global Shipping, I would use USPS's First Class International (less than 4lbs).  She said that it would be cheaper (which I'd bet is true) but also has tracking.  That's the part I'm not sure about.  I've heard people say the Ebay's global is too expensive, but as a seller it offers me protection against the whole "package never arrived" issue.

I looked on the USPS website but don't feel like a found a definitive answer as to whether or not I could get tracking and delivery confirmation.  I was wondering (since it's Saturday night and I can't call) if any of you have experience shipping to there, and how it went? The prospective buyer has a lot of good feedback so I feel fairly comfortable about that, but the particular auction she's interested in might go for more than 20.00, which is past my threshold for 'let's just see how it goes'  :silly:

Pony Corral / Re: Baby Cuddles variant question
« on: July 27, 2016, 08:22:24 PM »
All NBBE Baby Cuddles have freckles. :)   The BBE version is the one that doesn't have freckles

Ah, maybe the info on My Little Wiki was actually referring to the BBE version.  Do they ever have freckles?  I don't collect them.

Pony Corral / Baby Cuddles variant question
« on: July 27, 2016, 06:20:35 PM »
  Hi all,

I was looking up my NBBE Baby Cuddles on MLW as I put her up for sale, but it lead me to a variant question.  Mine has freckles and green eyes, but her hoof says made in Hong Kong.  According to MLW it's the China variant that should have the freckles?  But, mine's head is factory sealed and her head and body are a good match.  Is that weird?

Sorry, the HK foot is hard to read.  If this is actually unusual I will take clearer photos :)

Wanted! / Wanted: Fairy Tails Bird 'Snuggle Tails' w/fuzzy tummy
« on: July 24, 2016, 07:00:33 AM »
Hello all,

I am currently searching for the Fairy Tails bird Snuggle Tails.  She is pink with an aqua colored fuzzy tummy and multi- colored hair.

I don't mind cleaning her up or minor rubs, but want one with uncut hair, no cancer, and feet that still grasp.  I wouldn't mind having her comb and stand but that's not a priority at all.  Please pm me with a price and pics. :)
