One serbet has white eyes while the other has pink. Has the pink just faded? Only thing stopping me for thinking this is that the cUties mark pink (same shade) hasnt faded.

Done. It's quite hard to get photos showing the differences. Espechally the eye colour. The black one has a more pink colour while the brown one is more darker.
I have two of the brown ones atm and they seam to be the more common ones on my searches?

Brown and black eyeliner differences aren't that unusual, there are quite a few sets that can have a mixture (For example the movie star ponies). I don't know where you are based in the world but it seems likely the two versions of Galaxy are from two batches. Their body tones also look different - that's also pretty common with batch differences, but it doesn't really affect value (note, body discolouration is different).

Sorbet Surprise (sherbet) looks faded to me, at least her eye does. The scented ponies do discolour a lot. It may be the picture but around the joins it looks a little darker. You didn't give hoof photos for her, there are known versions made in China and HK for that set, but I would've thought you'd have mentioned it if that was the case...so it may be a batch but the paler eye suggests to me maybe some sun exposure.

Thank you so much!!!! I didnt know about the brown and black eyeliner. I live in the UK. So you wouldn't say its body discolouration? For the galaxies that is.

Brilliant  you have confirmed my suspicions and yes her body is very much discoloured from exposure to sun as the bottom of her hoofs are the same as the brighter purple. There also both china ones.

Sorry about that. I was focusing on how to post photos more than anything ah.

I'm also in the UK! I haven't looked at my TEs, loose or MOC ones, but I know with Shady and such, some of them are brown and some are black eyelined. We seem to have quite a lot of black lined ones here...

It's hard to know with Galaxy without seeing her in person, it could be but if it is very uniform and you don't see tiny areas that are different, then it could be batch. Galaxy had a slightly later release in the UK (1986 vs 1985 in North America) so was being produced over a spell of time, it's possible that that crossover led to brown and black eyeliner versions. The fact your two have different eyeliners make slight batch differences on the colouring possible in my opinion. Though I can see one has some spots on her, it doesn't look like mass plastic discolouration to me personally.

It's most been discussed with ponies like Truly and Cupcake (not the so softs, the Scandinavian versions without flocking) with brown eyeliner being most common but some black eyeliners ones also exist in those. Probably we need to look at our TE ponies more to find out if it's common across that set as well. Maybe someone here has done that.

Chinese Sundae Best are normal for the UK :)
