I'm so happy to finally introduce this pony I've been working on for several years! On and off, some parts of the process were really tedious, and the rest was just me procrastinating as always.   If you've followed my WIP stories you've already seen some teasers.

To recap, back when I was still actively working on customs (about ten years ago, lol) I once gave my friend a "gift card" for a custom. She misplaced it but found it again and returned to claim the gift. This was in 2021, I think, so it really took me a while to complete the custom even after we'd discussed the concept... She asked for something forest/druid themed and this is what I came up with.

The bait was an awfully spotty Gingerbread that had already been customised once by someone. I stripped the old paint, took out the jewel eyes and sculpted over them, painted the pony and gave them a pair of branch-like antlers (Apoxie Sculpt). Rehaired in nylon with some wool roving added in. The antlers also have small tufts of wool to mimic beard lichen. The pony features a number of Finnish forest animals: brown bear, roe deer, raven and the great grey owl.

I haven't had the chance to give the pony to my friend yet, but I'm going to meet her soon And she's seen WIP pics along the way.

I remember this! It's really great that you finally got it done!  I love its colors! Really wonderful eye paintings, horns and especially Finnish forest animals! Beard lichen looks real!

This looks just fantastic!  You've done an amazing job on painting the animals and I love the variety of textures in the hair.
