US Blind Bag releases

Okay, so I was chatting with a Hasbro rep about the release of Blind Bags. I just wanted to know which release here went along with the releases internationally. Basically I got, " Jacki: Not a problem. So please keep in mind that the purple blind bags are wave 1, blue blind bags are wave 2 and yellow are wave 3."     

To my knowledge, wave 3 (the one with the boy ponies) in the SOLID Twilight Sparkle purple bag was sold at TRU. I know this, because I HAVE them. Wave 1 was sold in WALMART and other places, wave 3 at TRU to my knowledge, and wave 4, Blue bag featuring RARITY, is currently being found at Walmart whereas I've bought several. 

According to this rep, wave 5 YELLOW bags (with Alicorns) "will be released shortly."

I tried to send a chart to help the conversation because she was confusing me and she got short and this happened.

Britt Compton: I have an idea to show you. Please hold.
 Jacki: Not a problem. So please keep in mind that the purple blind bags are wave 1, blue blind bags are wave 2 and yellow are wave 3.
 Jacki: Regrettably, we do not accept any outside ideas or suggestions.
 Britt Compton: No, that isn't what I meant.
 Jacki: I suggest not sending the image over as it will not be reviewed.
 Jacki: If we can be of further assistance, please contact us again.
 Jacki: Thank you for contacting Hasbro Consumer Affairs. Have a fun day!
 Britt Compton: I was going to send you a chart to help aid the conversation about the "waves."
 Britt Compton: ...um okay.
 Jacki: What do you mean?
 Jacki: That is ok, we are all set!
 Jacki: If we can be of further assistance, please contact us again!

 Jacki has disconnected."

....yeah.  Anyway, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE. Wave 5 will be out here soon!

I have found all 3 waves that have been released in the US at my local Wal Mart.

I picked some up but they just aren't my cup of tea.

See, I just contacted them because I was getting quite confused.
Really, I only want the ones that correspond to brushables or the ones I like the most.

I've never really dealt with chatting with Hasbro before. Are the reps usually misinformed?

I have found the blue bags, that is cool.  My daughter said she found a box of 3, but it was empty so I wasn't sure what color those bags were.

Do we have a code list for the ponies again?  The blue bags I got seemed to have different numbers for the ponies, but I wanted to see if we know for sure if they are coded like the first wave.

Do we know if we can buy the boxes anywhere yet?  As much as I love getting the individual ponies at the store, I loved just getting my box and knowing I had them all!

Yup - that would be a pretty standard conversation with a Hasbro rep unfortunately. These are customer services agents they dont necessarily have accurate information to hand and often as collectors we know more about their product than they do.

The information could in fact be "right" in her system - Wave 3 is called "US Wave 1 2012" and Wave 4 is called "US Wave 2 2012" by retailers. I had thought Wave 5 would be a 2013 release but from her comments I would guess it is in stead going to be out this year and instead of "US Wave 1 2013" it will be "US Wave 3 2012".
