tell me about Sindy

OK Sindy was sold briefly in the US, but finding the dolls now is probably hard. You could get yourself a vintage Tammy doll, who I think inspired Sindy, and she is American.

Now there is one more thing -  Tonner just came out with a Sindy repro doll. I don't know how much they are,  but they are available in the US. Which for a classic British doll, makes the collectors annoyed.

Ahh, that probably explains why I always had Sindys as a kid, not Barbies. My friends all had Barbies tho. I've still got all mine in my mum's loft!

Really? I'll have to go dig them out. I've definitely got "Three Wish Sindy" with all her accessories in excellent condition. Can't remember the names of the others off the top of my head.

Sindy was also available here when I was a kid. I never knew they were more limited in the US, so I never knew they are somewhat sought after.
I have a nude Sindy somewhere in not so good shape, with her hair mostly cut. if someone might be interested in her for a restore project, I'd be happy to locate her, take photos of her, and send her away to a new home at cost.

The tonner girls are $70 and come in a bathing suit and thats it! Plus they have a wig and are not rooted.

I have two vintage Sindy's. Doll shows are good place to find them, that where I got mine.

I adore my Sindys! had them and barbies as a kid, hated the barbies, the Sindys only got tolerated as I love the Sindy horses! But I have loads now.

EBay or a forum I think would be your best bet, I know some were released in the US but I have no idea how easy they are to find.

eBay is probably the best bet! (Do you mean the original Pedigree Sindy or the Hasbro Sindys? I'm guessing most people are talking about the Pedigree Sindy doll). A lot pop up from the UK.

The pedigree ones are who I'm after. I really only want one. Just a brunette. I was watching one on ebay yesterday. Trying to see what an average price is.

oh, I didn't even know there were other Sindys as well - I have just had a quick search to see the Pedigree ones, they look so different I love that many of them have actual rooted (or glued?) eyelashes.

unfortunately the one that I have is a Hasbro one I'll still try to find her, but it might take more time (I was sure she's in one specific box, but upon digging into it I did not find her there).
