Zig Zag, mane question

I'm looking for Zig Zag and on all I see the mane seems short and uneven length... so is that the original length? How is it supposed to be?

I actually used to have her, I sold her and now regret it. It was long ago and I'm not sure but I think the one I had had a strange mane too.

Zig Zag came with a cropped mane, and yes it can sometimes be pretty unevenly cut.  About 1.5 inches at the top, up to 2 inches at the bottom for mine.

Did Hasbro ever do that (uneven length) with any other G1? I can not think of any.
