Annuals are a very British concept - they tend to be A4 sized hard back books of maybe 50-60 pages. They are aimed at children and each annual covers its own subject matter of popular childrens culture - from football [soccer] teams to the cartoons of the moment and even pop groups. They are filled with stories and games - kind of like you see in any childrens comic. They are traditionally a popular Christmas gift - I know most of my friends and I got an annual every Christmas on whatever subject we preferred at the time. I guess in some ways they are similar to the concept of a yearbook.

@Takoto - here are the ISBN numbers - Smiths [or another book store] should be able to order the book in for you with this.

ISBN 10: 095563802X

ISBN 13: 9780955638022
