Thanks you two!   I think I like her better than either Rarity or Celestia.   The symbol and hair colors just go so well together!  <3

I compared her to my other Target exclusive Luna. I'll try to take pics but I'm not sure if it will be captured by the camera.

Alright, variant time:


Wingless Rainbow Dash (may be an unfinished version of a future RD release)
Rarity with Celestia's head and tail (mashup between Celestia and Rarity)
Celestia with Rarity's head and tail (also mashup between Celestia and Rarity)
Pony variant (larger eyes, 2 toned hair)

Coming out soon:
Luna with different hair
Pink Celestia with different hair
Cadance (seen her glittery, and non glittery which may just be unfinished product)

The "coming out soon" ponies are not rare for long. Also any of the "glitter variants" with no glitter are likely just unfinished products.

The rarest one is Celestia's body with rarity's head and tail. She has only been sold in 2? listings for quantities of 10 and maybe 20?  I forget the second number, but there can't be that many of her floating around. 2nd rarest is possibly the Pony prototype. Maybe about 30 or 40 of her have popped up. 3rd rarest is probably the Celestia head on the Rarity body, which is still being sold recently.  I estimate around 50 or so of her, but if they keep showing up, that number will go up. 4th rarest is wingless Rainbow Dash, but there are a lot of her out there (100 +) and she is still showing up, too.

I think she is more common on taobao, usually she hides in an auction were they sell other factory errors. I see her from time to time at least.

Yeah, none of them are particularly rare I guess (as all of them have popped up recently, or multiple times), just she seems to be rarer than the others from the amount that we see come from Taobao and Ebay compared to the other variants. Maybe she is less rare now, if you say lots more are showing up.

She is still in very few quantities compared to other prototypes, but more sellers seem to have got her in smaller stocks. But by far Pony is the most sought after, second is white Celestia I think.

I'm going to guess that wingless Rainbow Dash is grabbed off the assembly line before the wings are attached. The mold kinda looks like they would punch holes in the back and insert wings, so she was just nabbed before the final step maybe?

Yeah I noticed the wings aren't part of the actual mold, so these are just unfinished. Are the wings glued on or is there actually something securing them?

To me, the wings look like they are just glued onto the pony. If the Fashion Style ponies were not so expensive, I would dissect one just to find out.
