As a heads up I won't be able to relist any of these if they expire due to my move coming up very soon.

Finding myself in need of cash, so I'm letting most of my collection go - here's round 1 of that. On my ebay account over here! Ponies are from waves 3-4 and the wedding assortment, IIRC.

Pony Corral / PC G1 Playsets/Accessories
« on: April 27, 2018, 08:20:16 PM »
I actually found some G1 stuff at a local auction! I wound up picking it up out of excitement - there's very little MLP around here - but I'm not actually a playset collector, and I'm finding myself in need of the money. All of them are normal early US releases, AFAIK. (Does the bulk of the Dream Castle/Show Stable make shipping prohibitive?)

Dream Castle:

  • Only one blue tower roof - glue yellowing on white parts
  • Yellow basket and pulley - the wall these are on isn't attached to the rest of the castle, not sure if fixable
  • Blue mirror
  • Yellow table
  • Yellow hoops (2)
  • Blue throne
  • 2 pennants/flags
  • Blue damsel hat with white/yellow ribbons

Show Stable:
  • Missing a door, some bad yellowing on one side
  • Weather vane
  • 1 flag (light blue)
  • Bridle & reins
  • 1st/2nd/3rd place ribbons
  • 3 yellow trophies
  • 2 green window shelves
  • 6 green fences
  • Partial jump stand
  • A bunch of stickers - previously used but detached I think? Bag of oats, door, etc; I don't know what set these are all from

Pretty Parlor:
  • Still has stickers, not sure if all the main pieces are there but I think so?
  • Yellow round hat
  • Pink cat carrier basket
  • Lemon Drop's name tag

Baby Buggy:
  • In good shape - wheels still turn, no yellowing
  • Heart topper
  • Purple ribbon

Thank you so much for any answers!

Can someone that plays the Kingdom Hearts mobile game give me some tips? I don't understand how evolving the medals works exactly. I know you need certain medals to evolve each medal but I have several Chesire Cat, Fairy Godmother and Yen Sid medals and can't evolve my medals.

Ponyfan
They need to be max level first! Ducklings (Huey, Dewey, Louie) give the most EXP.

I've been playing a lot of KHX[Chi] - the browser version's shutting down in a little over a week, so I'm trying to complete my last few goals while I still can. :(

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Pokémon Go! Come talk to me about it?

I was out for a bit this morning and just had the GPS turned on without the wifi and was able to catch 4 Pokémon and find a handful of PokéStops. :)

I had no idea this'd work - thank you for mentioning it, or I would have never thought to give it a try! The tablet I just bought has a GPS, so I'll have to give it a shot. I might be too rural to find anything, but fingers crossed.

Monster High stuff fits Pinkie Cooper pretty well! I just tried her in a normal-sized dress (the one from this pack) and it's a bit loose, especially in the neckline, but is workable. Maybe little sister clothes would work better? The pants from that pack also fit, if strangely - they're loose at the waistband but are hard to pull up due to the rubber legs.

A couple potential reasons! It may be that a pony is just plain more desired than others from a certain set (e.g., Mimic - AFAIK she isn't significantly rarer than the other set 2 Twinkle Eyes) because people think it's the prettiest and there's more competition to snag a certain one in an auction, which then drives up flat sale prices. If you can say "here, this Diamond Dreams went for $50 at auction" or whatever she currently costs, you'll have an easier time buying/selling around that price.

It may be that a pony is prone to a flaw that drives the non-flawed versions up in price (Red Roses's fading pink forelock, or flutter wings, or regrind).

It may, in some cases, be that a pony was initially shortpacked - I saw an old sales flyer someone posted here the other day showing that Bubbles and Seashell had fewer in a case assortment than their companions released at the same time. Or if a pony was just plain not released in a country, like some of the UK exclusives - that tends to drive the price up, at least for foreign buyers.

It's too hot to use my computer heavily, so I've been getting back to Tales of Symphonia finally! I... really need to pay more attention to when I should be running away/blocking, but it's fun.

Off Topic / Re: 80s Cartoon Reboot.

Im not sure if they had a reboot, but Battle of the Planets/G-Force/Gatchaman would be interesting to see.

I had my mom telling me about it and how much she loved it as a child. I happened to come across the 25th Anniversary Edition on DVD a long time ago. I had not seen it before but bought it for her, for her birthday so her and I could watch it together. It of course was super cheesy because it was a japanese anime dubbed in english in the 80s, one of the firsts I hear. Would love to see it redone in todays style and animation.

Gatchaman Crowds actually came out in 2013, and had a second season last year! I'm not familiar with the original at all, but I loved Crowds.

I don't see any cards but I have a level 3O Magic Mickey medal a level 7 power Goody medal and a level 20 Jiminy Cricket medal. I've tried maxing out my special attack meter and used a lot of medals upgrading my other medals to try to win. I even tried avoiding some enemies to save my attacks for the target enemy. It's a little frustrating to me because I was really enjoying the game.

Ponyfan

... I'm so used to the older browser version I keep calling them cards instead of medals  I'd definitely try and do a draw, when you get the chance, then! Having two or three medals of the target element will make it a lot easier to beat the quests, since the multiplier for the rock-paper-scissors matchup is pretty substantial. (If you get any Jiminy medals, it might be worth keeping one to level - he's got a Cure ability, which restores HP.)

Off Topic / Re: Whats your favorite anime and why
« on: April 27, 2016, 05:27:33 PM »
Princess Tutu's my all-time favorite! :lovey: I love the use of classical music (and gorgeous ballet animation to go with), and it does such neat things with the concept of rewriting fate and fairytales - and, you know, I love all the characters more than life itself, so that helps.

I actually found the only (non-twelve-year-old-garage-kit) merchandise of Rue on ebay a few months back and picked it up! Hopefully someday I'll be able to find the matching Ahiru to keep her company.

Can someone give me some tips for the new mobile Kingsom Hearts game with the medals? I played really well until level 40 and now I'm losing my lives a lot more even though I tried to use the recommend medals ( I think) This is my first time playing Kingdom Hearts.

Pinyfan

What do your decks look like? It might help to do a 600-jewel draw (the 3 medal one) just so you have a little more to work with, but it's definitely possible to get by without.

(And I'm really curious to see what your reaction is to the plot, when we start hitting it! There're some parts in a hundred quests or so where the game assumes you're aware of certain phenomena/species, but otherwise it's a good place to start.)

Oh man, baby's first anime... Inuyasha was a worryingly formative experience for me in a lot of ways. A friend and I went back and marathonned the whole thing (plus Final Act, which didn't exist when I first watched it) a couple years ago. My favorite characters are probably Kagura and Sango?

I'm tempted to go through Bravely Default and actually beat it before I go out and get Bravely Second.

I'm pretty sure BSecond does spoil at least part of Default's ending, if that helps your decision any! It's a long game, though. (I downloaded the demo for Second when it first came out and haven't touched it... )

I've been playing a ton of KH Unchained X lately! Its Japanese-only browser version and I have been on-and-off since 2013, but it's exciting to finally be able to play without a translation guide. :)
