I actually found some G1 stuff at a local auction! I wound up picking it up out of excitement - there's very little MLP around here - but I'm not actually a playset collector, and I'm finding myself in need of the money. All of them are normal early US releases, AFAIK. (Does the bulk of the Dream Castle/Show Stable make shipping prohibitive?) Dream Castle: - Only one blue tower roof - glue yellowing on white parts
- Yellow basket and pulley - the wall these are on isn't attached to the rest of the castle, not sure if fixable

Money's tight in my family at the moment for a variety of reasons, so some of my G4s are going up for sale! Items are not from a pet- or smoke- free home. I do my best to keep them away from both (and I can give them an additional wash if needed, though they're clean), but if you're heavily allergic to either please keep that in mind. I was recently asked to provide a shipping quote from the US to Australia - but I've never shipped internationally before. USPS's online calculator gave me about $9.50 for a single MIB G4 shipped first class, but I'm not sure whether that's totally accurate or what method of shipping would be best. Advice would be super appreciated!
edit: If I use Paypal to print an international shipping label (I can do that, right?) can I pay for shipping via Paypal?

I was at the antiques auction today and what did I see but an entire box of 80s Strawberry Shortcake dolls! I don't know what ones were there (there were a bunch, in various states of being dressed) but two were MIB! Strawberry Shortcake (box was taped up) and Raspberry Tart (there was a little tape, but it looked original?). I'd like to know if picking them up would be worth it They're very cute, but if they're worth a bunch I think I'd resell at least most of them.

So I found some dolls! I have no idea what they're worth or what some of them are named. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFirst is one I do know the name of - Princess Rainbow Breeze, a Sky Dancer. (Are those even dolls? I'm sorry if she should be in a different forum.  ) She's complete (as far as I can tell) and has her box, but it's got a rip in the back. She might work, I have no idea what the instructions are talking about. Their boxes are dusty and dented but don't look torn. Never removed from their boxes as far as I know. Her body feels like cheap, hollow plastic and is noticeably lighter than her head. The dress might be hers, I have no idea. She has ancient rubber bands that are halfway disintegrated in her hair. The second one is a... Skipper? She's marked Mattel, 1969, and has internal click knee joints. Her rubbery limbs are dirty but look cleanable. Her eyelashes are "real." Third doll is marked Ideal, 1965. Her limbs are a bit less rubbery, but also don't bend. The hair of the last two may have been cut, and all of them have pretty rough to the touch hair. Who are these girls, and are any of the ones in this thread worth anything?

I'm interested in customizing a (sea monster) CAM! Unfortunately, that includes rerooting, in a specific style that wouldn't work very well with a big bald spot.  Just for clarification - if I buy the newer vampire/sea monster set, with both torsos, the head I'd get would be the one with the hard patch, right? Is there any way to tell the difference between a head with or without that patch, in photos that don't show the top of the head?

I'm working on a G4 Scootaloo, and... well, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I picked this hair color. DH Sugarplum is lovely, but it's way darker than her hair should be - I think I wasn't paying attention when I picked it, or something. Ordering new hair is out of the question right now, but I do have some alternatives! I'm just not sure which one would look best. I could just use G4 donor tails - I have four from Blossomforth/Pinkie Pie (not exactly the same, but if I blended them the difference would be really hard to tell). I'm sort of leaning towards this, but I'm not sure I have the tools to open the clasps. I could use Watermelon Martini; I'd have to pick out the other color blended with it, though. Or I could use some combination of donor tails, Watermelon Martini, or Sugarplum. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginWhat would you do?

I wasn't really expecting much when I went to walmart today (the other one in the area doesn't have anything newer than baby Rainbow Dash and Spike), but I lucked out!! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI bought the Canterlot FS Luna-Celestia two pack when it was in stores, but since I customized them, I wanted a normal Luna.  Her colors are really nice together. They had a bunch of posters, too, so I've got the full set of those now. This wasn't the Lagoona release I was planning on buying, but I couldn't help myself. Now I just need Robecca and I'll have all the MH dolls that I want right now.

I recently got a lot of ponies for my birthday. They're in pretty good condition (and I got an excellent price!) but the problems two of them do have are... pretty bad. First is Sugar Apple. Her hair's uncut (I think - should she have a forelock?), but it's the roughest I've ever felt, even after three conditionings. I left one in overnight (have done previously for problem ponies with no real problem), and it turned it hard! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginOur flat iron's pretty old and doesn't get very hot, so it probably won't be able to totally fix her frizz. She's also got a bit of tail rust. Her hair just feels so awful to touch! Is there anything else in addition that I can do? (I'll still be flat ironing it no matter what, I just don't know what it'll do when all of the hair is a frizzy mess.) Second is Best Wishes. Her flocking is really soft and nice, except for one thing: a rough, yellowed patch on her backside. Is this glue? It feels similar around her neck. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI'm not sure how at all to deal with this - I know you can't restore yellowed glue's color, but can I at least soften it a little?

I got Moondancer and her baby from Ebay a few months ago, and they arrived in about the condition I expected from the photos - they both have a little glitter loss, and I need to give them a bit of a bath to make them properly white again, but otherwise they're lovely.
Baby Moondancer, though...
Their heads are both factory sealed, but the baby's is squishy. Really squishy - it feels almost like dog toy plastic. Also, one of her hooves is in the air when she stands.
So, two questions I guess:
One - what's up with her head, and is it a problem (ie will it spread to her body or anything else)?
Two - should I break the seal of her neck to fill her with water (I've heard that will fix the pose problem so she can stand properly)?
