It has always been my headcanon that the newborn twins babyish symbols faded off and were replaced with more adult ones. Milkweed and Tumbleweed fit with a western theme, so the rocking horses would become something associated with the Wild West.
Also, newborn twins were always mixed gender.
More on topic, why does Starflower not have flowers around her stars like she does in pictures? I always thought mine was faded, but nope.

I really like him. I love yellow and the G3 unicorns are some of my favorites. I'm meh about the glitter on the symbol, but it's not a huge detraction

I had Pina Colada as a kid, but I found her at a garage sale and didn't know her name. I renamed her Oasis, and I stick with that one to this day.

Meh. I love the idea of a set, but it would be so much prettier if they weren't all the same, bland, color combo. They could have been so pretty if they had used birthstones as hair and symbol colors

Munchy. She's so delightfully odd.
I love Yum-Yum, but I can't help but fantisize about her having thin white and red stripes in her hair like a candy. It would look so much nicer than boring pink on white

I'm working on a custom playset. Can I just say how freaking cute the molds for G3 playsets are and what a waste that they colored it all the same? The celebration castle I'm working on has the sweetest details that no one ever got to notice. There is spiderweb with a tiny spider on it!

As far as dark 80s/Early 90s cartoons, does anyone else remember an episode of Captain Planet where Linka's boyfriend/brother gets high, jumps through a window, accidentally slitting his wrists and dying? I remember being very shocked as a child

Pass for me. There was such an opportunity there to use some rich, dark, colors on her, and we get more pink and red. Plus, her pose is hideous.
She would have been so pretty with a dark blue body and white hair with a black streak. Or glow in the dark hair

My favorite boy ever. Back when I restarted collecting, circa 1994, my only source was garage sales and flea markets. A collecter friend and I were trading off tables at a flea market, looking for ponies. She saw him first and thus had claim to him. However, she already had one of what we what we called 'original boys' at that point. She had Steamer, so she graciously allowed me to take Barnacle. He's kind of scruffy, but I love him to bits

I find Starflower to not only be my favorite of the rainbows, but my favorite unicorn period. I would have liked for her to have the actual flowers on her stars, like in the coloring books, but I think she's beautiful and perfect. She runs my herd
