Pony Corral / How does one go about restoring G4 pony/EG hair?
« on: April 27, 2021, 06:57:09 AM »
I got a new shelf for my room which means I can finally display my ponies and EG's again after they've had to spend the last year in a bag in my closet! But I've noticed that my 2010 wave 1 Mane 6's hair has become a little frazzled. Rainbow Dash has nothing but split ends and the bangs don't lay as flat as they once did. My EG's are a nightmare overall, they all have horrifying hair and I want to display them alongside their pony counterparts. I saw a video of a girl restoring her 2000's Sailor Moon dolls and I want to do the same for my MLP's, I'm just not entirely sure what type of hair they use and how to properly handle them. I'm going to wash the skirts from my EG's to make them nice again (it'll probably take the glitter off oh well) but I want to be safe with my ponies because I'm aware of how rare they are. Any help is appreciated, I might take some before and after pics as well. Thank you!

Pony Corral / Alleged G5 Storyboard has been found
« on: January 13, 2021, 05:46:00 AM »
Welp, I expected this was gonna happen sooner or later.

A storyboard for what appears to be the G5 movie has been found. And surprise surprise, guess who’s here?

I am not shocked in the slightest they’re here, but it seems like this movie takes place in a distant future and the older pony is telling the other pony about their accomplishments. Looks like G5 will be taking place in the FiM world.

Pony Corral / Hasbro doing away with Zapcodes?
« on: November 06, 2016, 08:10:11 AM »
I just realized something about the 2017 MLP merch: none of the toys have Zapcodes. Since we now know the Minis are an Equestria Girls reboot none of them have Zapcodes and the 2017 brushables have no Zapcodes on them either. I guess this is the end for the MLP apps. Oh well, they weren't really that engaging anyways. The pony one was too boring and the Equestria Girl one was just a money sucking scheme.

It's interesting to note that the "Minis" logo on the packaging is completely gone and we haven't heard much news about the regular full sized dolls. Here's my theory: the Minis are a transitional phase in the Equestria Girls toys. The dolls haven't been selling well and a lot of people have been asking for show accurate Equestria Girls. Hasbro released the minis as a spin off line but in reality it was Hasbro's way of slowly rebooting the line. That's why the dolls have little to no promotion but the Minis are getting a lot of attention.

No Legend of Everfree doll commercials.

No cheesy live action music video.

No promotion anywhere besides the movie (which was promoted pretty well)

But the Minis, however? A short series, commercials, a website, really everything. And now Hasbro drops the Mini part in the logo because the cycle is complete: the Minis are now Equestria Girls main toys. THIS was Hasbro's way of doing a reboot without really getting anyone mad.

And I think they've succeeded.

Pony Corral / Hey Hasbro, here's an idea: Expansion Packs!
« on: May 30, 2016, 05:14:15 PM »
This is an idea I thought of a while ago, but I'm just now posting it.

Here's an idea that keeps everyone happy: G4 expansion packs!

What is an expansion pack, you may ask? They're packs usually used in video games or toylines that expand upon already released material. Say for instance you had a game, and your game is great and all, but it gets boring and you need new content. You can make an expansion pack to make the material already in use better!

Hasbro can totally do this with G4 ponies! I'm surprised they haven't already.

We all hate it when Hasbro re-releases the Mane 6 and the occasional supporting character over and over again. But, this is sort of necessary, since they are the main cast of the show and there might be new fans of the show who want to get the characters they see on TV right then and there, but they can't since most of the toy store is filled with supporting characters. While this may be good for us collectors who want variety, it might not be for the little kids and fans who are newcomers. So, I propose an idea that will keep everyone happy, the expansion packs!

How they would work is Hasbro can continue the Mane 6 re-releasing all they want, but the expansion packs include the ponies fans have been asking for. Hasbro can set up online polls to see which ponies that fans would want to see next, and if that particular pony is wanted, they would be made for the next pack. There could be themed packs too, like winter ponies, spring ponies, background ponies, candy ponies, older gen ponies, the list goes on! This way, everyone is happy!

Even little kids would like these ponies. I bet there are some kids out there who are sick of the Mane 6 (and now Starlight) being shoehorned into everything, and are looking for something new. These ponies would reel in sales like crazy!

There would be 6 ponies that come in each set. They're exactly like the Fan Favorite ponies that are released every year, but released every quarter. One in January, one in June, one in September, and one in December. They'd sell like hotcakes.

I think the starting price would be 30 bucks for each set, like the Fan Faves collection.

Well, that's my idea, feel free to add suggestions, ideas, ponies you'd like, your dream collection, or more!

Wishes a Hasbro Executive is reading this

I'm getting impatient, Hasbro!

Okay, so right now I'm supposed to be writing an essay for my history class (slacking off as usual :P) but I recently stumbled upon a YouTube video by Toy Genie (one of my favorite toy reviewers! :D) and she was reviewing some new MLP slap bands. Now, normally I wouldn't really care about something like that but something struck my eye: They included the CMC WITH their cutie marks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CydZMlcWQsA (I can't embed right now, sorry :P)

So, this can mean a couple of things. It seems Hasbro is using the CMC's cutie marks in their 2016 style guide, but WHERE are the toys with them? I figured a few months back they would release them because on MLPMerch.com they had an article about some new Amazon listings including Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle in one pack, and Scootaloo and Pip Squeak in the next one! After the episode aired, I had figured that those playsets were based upon the episode but NOPE, they're from the Nightmare Night FIM Collection set! So, WHERE are the brushables, and when do you guys think Hasbro will release them, and HOW do you think they will release them?

Oh, I have quite the story to tell.

Went to Target about 2 weeks ago with only 5 dollars (I was sent by my mom to pick up toilet paper and I didn't bring my wallet  -_-) so I took a look at the ponies. They had a few of the new stuff like Canterlot Castle, Rarity's Boutique, FiM Collection, and then I take a look at the Equestria Girls. They have some of the new stuff as well, like Friendship Games and all that. Then I look at the old Friendship through the Ages dolls because I was going to come back a little later and pick up a Twilight and HOLY SMOKES!

Adagio Dazzle? SHE'S HERE?? AND SHE'S IN APPLEJACK'S BOX? OH BOY! There was also Aria Blaze in Pinkie Pie's box. I didn't see Sonata but if I did I think she would be in Rainbow Dash's box since theyre both blue. I was SOOO mad because I didn't have my wallet. I knew by the next time I would be here she would be gone. Adagio is one of my most sought after MLP anythings! I REALLY WANTED HER! But alas, I was there for toilet paper, so I got that and left sadly.

2 weekends later, my mom and a friend go out to Friendly's which is directly across from Target. I stop into Target (once again, without my wallet) and SHE'S STILL HERE! I was SOOOO SUPER MAD that she was still there! But she was. So I had a plan to come back the next day. With my wallet. And pick her up.

Go back the next day, she's there, pick her up and a pack up bubble gum, and drive home extremely happy!

I now own the entire Dazzlings collection, the Mane 7 (Sunset Shimmer included) and Trixie and Vinyl Scratch and a few extras.

I am an extremely happy pony fan :D

Pony Corral / Does anyone know how to remove G4 marking over eyes?
« on: February 20, 2015, 03:53:14 PM »
Hi, I want to buy a Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops figure and a Skywishes figure, but I do not like the markings over their eyes. Does anyone know a safe way I can remove their markings without smearing the poor pony?

Introductions / Hi, I'm SweetLemons!
« on: February 19, 2015, 08:15:39 AM »
Um hey, I'm SweetLemons, and I'm glad I found a fourm for all generation collectors!

I'm 17 years old, I'm a male, and I currently attend high school, but I am looking to attend college. I also collect other general pony merchandise.

I live in Boston Massachusetts, and it's really cold at the moment!!!

I collect mainly G4's, but I would love to start collecting G3's.

I started collecting in early 2012, when I got a McDonalds Pinkie Pie, and after, I got Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, and Fluttershy. I still have them, but I gave Rarity to a friend. I now collect brushable ponies. I do have many, and I am always looking to collect more.

My favorite pony is Twilight Sparkle, but I have a lot of Pinkie Pie's and Rainbow Dash's. I do have a few G3 ponies from others, as I was never interested in My Little Ponies growing up, thinking it was another "babyish" show, though I do faintly remember My Little Pony Tales airing on the older stations, and my sister watched it a lot.

I also am trying to grow my very small Equestria Girls collection, as I do love the movies very much.

And that's me basically!
