Spike From Basic Fun?

A while back I bought the Rescue from Midnight Castle set of ponies. On the box was a notation Spike could be bought separately. Has anyone seen this G1 I assume *quite small* remake of Spike for sale anywhere? There isn't a mention of the toy across the web from what I can see.

By the way I put quite small with the * * marks since the ponies are about two inches in size. If scale is used for the baby dragon, I can only picture Spike as big as my thumbnail.

He's part of the g1 blind bag set. There are codes on the bags that indicate who you'll get. So perhaps someone can tell you which numbers are for Spike

I know at least with Basic Fun Care Bears, the company seems to enjoy making some toys regional exclusives.

I don't know if the Blind Boxes are going to show up at in-person stores in the US.  So far, it seems like a no.  There are only online retailers that sell them at a mark-up.

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it's the stores themselves that decide whether or not they're going to sell products from Basic Fun.  I know Basic Fun has been trying to get them into more stores.  But Target and the like have limited shelf space and they have to be convinced to stock products by the manufacturers.

We've been talking about the blind boxes in this thread I'm not sure if anyone's found Spike yet though.

IIRC from the Toy Fair photos, Spike's about the same size as the ponies.

I think it's sad they weren't included in the box. I also think they did it wrong who put Moondancer in the box and as a blind bag while there's no Glory.

I think it's sad they weren't included in the box. I also think they did it wrong who put Moondancer in the box and as a blind bag while there's no Glory.

Glory is a blind bag and the pearly variation comes with pearly Blossom and CC.

I really don't get why they didn't put Spike into the RaMC set... To me him and Ember would've made much more sense for the boxset than Moondancer and Medley. They were main characters in the special! While Moondancer and Medley are only in one or two scenes. Bit of an odd choice.

Yeah, I've not seen that one in Sweden and the blind boxes only talk about "collect all 7", which are Starflower, Cotton Candy, Gusty, Moondancer, Bubbles, Spike and Ember. Those are also the only ones featured on the box art.

I remember Starflower and Cotton Candy are 1 and 2 respectively. I confirmed this as I had two of each by accident and none of the others But my sister loves CC so that worked out well.

I have only seen them at one in person shop even here in the Uk after going through a bunch of similar chain toyshops down south. I hope I will get down there again before Christmas so I can hunt for the other codes.

Isn't Glory only released with the Target exclusive release of the pearly ponies? Still waiting to see if these show up anywhere here but not so far. If they come up on Amazon, fair enough, but I really do hate US store exclusives - there's never a guarantee they will be available anywhere else.
