I like the Peruvians Pasos, the Galoway cow, and the Dartmoor Frog. The Noriker and Thompson Gazelle are cute. I don't like the brushable horses at all. How did they mess up so badly? Boo on the lamacorn.

Ooh, I like the Peruvian Pasos too. Never heard of that breed I had to look it up. They're very pretty. The cheetah cub is so cute. They messed up the Valais Blacknose sheep though... they are super cute but that figure doesn't capture that at all.

Oh wow! Okay so I guess I was always kind of aware of this brand, I see them sometimes at Michaels Craft Store and Target, but I had no idea there was so much variety! I thought they just did horses, basically, but they have beautiful realistic animals of all types and fantasy too!? That's so cool!

I'm really loving that water mare and fire stallion, and their cute foal (though I wish the foal had some red in there somewhere).

I just did a quick Google search and there's SO many! So much more fantasy than I realized. Wow!

The pricepoint is a little higher than I would expect for toys that size. Which I guess will keep me from going overboard if I start buying these. XD But why are they so expensive?

They've always been rather pricey. I think it's part brand name and part quality/detail. They are solid figures. The detail can vary... around 15 years ago it was better, imo. The fantasy line always looks good though. I recommend buying on eBay, actually. There are several sellers that specialize in figures like those and sometimes you can even find bulk lots of different ones for cheap. Also you can find discontinued/older models. It's where I found my Friesian stallion and he only cost me 6 bucks.

If you like Schleich you should also check out Papo and Safari. They also have fantasy figures and realistic animals and dinos and are a similar quality.

I'll second Safari Ltd. and recommend CollectA.

Okay this is weird, last week I find this thread and today I find this in my store:

One of the stores in our chain closed so we got sent a ton of stuff that had been sitting in their back warehouse. I don't know if this cutie is old and/or rare, but if anyone wants her I can pick her up at cost plus shipping. :) she is a cutie!

Oh my goodness, the Axolotl Discovery set is so cute (not to mention, very beautifully designed!)

I don't think that I'll start a large collection, but maybe I'll grab a couple of their figures someday, axolotls included if I can find them for a reasonable enough price.

My nieces love these! And I always buy them when I find them secondhand. They are quite pricey, but worth it!

I remember seeing a peacock many years ago in a store such as Michaels.  When I sculpted my Moochik figure, I wanted him to be holding a peacock, so I tried to find one.  I guess it’s discontinued and the price is crazy online for a small plastic toy.

So, I went to The Entertainer and picked up the Exclusive Black-Edition T-Rex (https://www.thetoyshop.com/animals/dinosaurs/Schleich-Dinosaurs---Black-T-Rex-Figure/p/552845?queryId=00a121a87cc8c7c62c92606c470443cb) as it occupied my thoughts ever since I first saw it. T-Rexes aren't my ultimate dino (that's Spinosaurus!) but she was so nice I thought, hey, I'll get her for my desk at work! Plus she had a discount!
