Help with my 'sona (please?)

Hi, I'm SwiftheartBabbit, and I can't draw for squat.

So yeah, despite being around for awhile, I just recently came up with a ponysona: Prickly Pear.

However, as mentioned above, I am a terrible artist. Going by what I've created above via Doll Divine, I was wonder if anyone could possibly help me pretty her up a bit? I have an idea for a cutie mark in my head, but that would require me freehandedly drawing it, and hahahahaha, no. A few finishing touches (color/eyelashes, etc) would be great, too. Oh, and I've seen a few members with reference sheets for their sonas. Those seem pretty helpful and awesome. Wouldn't mind one of those, either.

I've never really dealt with commissioning  pony art before, so if anyone wouldn't mind letting me know what this might cost (would be open to trading, too), that would be fantastic.

Were you thinking something more literal with her symbol?  Like, an actual prickly pear?    I think that would be pretty actually, expecially if you put a cactus blossom in there too.  Hopefully someone can help you out with her.  If you are looking for a more detailed piece, you can also check for an artist whose style you like here:  http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,318748.0.html
