These are so cute! Not really a jewelry person though and the prices are a bit high for me so i definitely wont be getting these, but its nice to see g3 get some attention for once. Hopefully this is a sign g3 will get more merch in the future.. also seeing g3 be called retro toys makes me feel old lol

I dont really know if this is an unpopular opinion or not but i honestly dont like so soft ponies all that much. Its not the ponies themselves i dont like though, its the flocking. It looks weird and doesnt age well, plus i just dont like the texture of most flocked toys.. Theres certain so softs who i think would look absolutely gorgeous as regular ponies, but they dont look as nice as they could because theyre covered in flocking.. and they never got regular releases, so theyre just forever stuck as so soft ponies which is a shame!
Despite all that though i would never purposefully deflock a so soft pony if it was in decent condition.. Ponies, especially g1 ponies, are getting harder to find in good shape every day so i would feel terrible ruining a perfectly good pony. But i would be lying if i said i wasnt hoping i would somehow find certain so softs with all their flocking already taken off so i could have the pony underneath without ruining the flocking for no reason lol

So i first saw this post a few days ago, and i was thinking "i probably wouldnt go out of my way to get her, but if i saw her in a thrift shop for cheap i would snatch her up in a heartbeat!"... I went to goodwill last night and, believe it or not, she was there! Just for a few dollars and in pretty decent condition too.. No accessories though, but thats not a big deal to me.. The timing on that is so funny!
She is currently sitting in my room and waiting to be cleaned

I think the last movie i watched was Encanto? I enjoyed it, ive had the songs stuck in my head ever since i watched it haha.. Probably an 8/10

Hi Blue, welcome to the Arena!
I am a collector of g1 and g3, I love these two generations. I grew up with g3 and my favorite pony at the time was Moondancer. What were the names of the ponies from your childhood? And where are you from?
I only played with g3s and g4s as a kid, i remember some of my favorite g3s being rarity, aurora mist, and pinkie pie. I also really loved minty but i didnt have any toys of her, so i just watched her movie over and over again.. When g4 came out and i started getting those ponies too i had most of the main and supporting characters from the show that had toys at the time, but my favorites to play with were probably diamond rose, sunny rays, and sunset shimmer! (i know i said i grew up on g1 too, but i only watched the cartoon when i was little, i didnt have any g1 ponies back then) Also im from the US!

Im a lifelong my little pony fan who grew up on g1, g3, and g4, so im a lover of all generations! I find it really hard to pick one specific generation as my favorite because i love them all and think they all have their good qualities, but when it comes to the toys specifically i tend to focus on g1 and g3. My collection isnt very big, i dont get new ponies very often and most of what i have is just stuff i got when i was a kid, but hopefully that will change!
While ive been into my little pony for a long time i havent really interacted with the community very much. I also dont have much experience with online forums like this and have always been a pretty shy person, so please forgive me if im a little awkward at first haha
