Baby Spanish Moondancer, without purple stripe.

Some years ago I showed you my spanish baby moondancer from my childhood asking for a price check.
I don´t find the topic, it was and old one and it must have been deleted.

She has no purple stripe, I never have seen another like her.
But yesterday I saw an auction on ebay of another spanish baby moondancer, with the purple stripe and very detailed pictures so I can compare them. And it seems that my baby moondancer is a manufacture defect.

The auction pony has 3 lines of hair, two pink and one for the purple stripe. Mine only have two pink lines, and they seem to be in a wrong position and length.

I don't remember your original post I am afraid it may well have been on the "old" arena, which could be why you can't find any mention of it here

I don't think I have seen another Spanish Baby Moondancer with out a stripe before, however I have seen Hong Kong Baby Glory and Baby Moondancer missing their stripes. I think it is a factory error and that the stripes were just forgotten.

I have no idea on a price, these sorts of things are quite tricky to value.

Since the auction pony has all three stripes, my guess would be either the machine that normally does the purple hair stripe was incorrectly loaded with pink hair OR she's a rehair.

Does Spanish Baby Moondancer normally have the same color hair as Hong Kong Baby Moondancer?  If so, my guess is auction-baby is a rehair.  That looks like the wrong hair color (too dusky, not vibrant enough) and also the mane length looks too long.

But like I said, I am just basing that off what I know about "regular" Baby Moondancer, I don't know much about the Spanish version.

The hair colour on the Spanish ponies is a bit different compared to HK and China ponies

There is always the chance of her being a rehair, but we don't know unless someone looks inside.

Mine isn´t a rehair, thats sure, because she has been all her life with me.

The auction pony, I don´t know, but I don´t think so. It looked quite normal to me. It must have been sold, because I can´t find it again.

Oh, are the pictures your Baby Moondancer?  I thought they were from the auction.  I believe you, Bunanoki.    I'm just leery about some eBay sellers.

Yes, these are my pictures. I didn´t post pictures of the auction pony because I didn´t know if it was against the forum rules. But I kept some pics of it to compare with mine, if you are curious I can post them.

Moondancer I understand why you feel leery, I often feel that way too. Buying from eBay is a risky business sometimes.
