Disclaimer: This is not my video. It is Honeyheart C's.
Have you guys heard anything about this?Apparently Breyer and Dreamworks is making an upcoming cartoon and toyline based off Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron. I love the four inch models, they would be perfect for customs, the stablemates and Traditionals are gorgeous too, but the eyebrows and lemony yellow palomino bug me.
I'm not keen on the Classic brushables. I've heard some very bad things about the hair quality and unfortunate ability of the tails falling out due to lack of a tail clamp on the Breyer Pony line.

I'm really unhappy with this new series. Just the show in general and Dreamworks deciding to cash in on the "horse girl" aesthetic and ruining the importance of their original film :( They even changed his appearance. Go for it if you like it Breyer collectors but good lord I'm so disappointed.

I love Spirit. :) I missed all of the merchandise when the original movie came out. That being said I'm sad that DreamWorks is changing Spirit the movie into a girls horse riding adventure series completely going against the point of the original film.

From what I understand, this is modern times, so my guess is they're gonna go with this Spirit possibly being a descendant of the original. I refuse to watch the cartoon, because I have a feeling it will be very...Horseland-esque.
I want the four inches to do customs of Rainbow Brite's Starlight and Skydancer, along with a nice black mustang, maybe a handsome bay?

Well the show loses the meaning of the first movie, but at least fans will get some new models?

Wow, turning Spirit into a girl-riding-horses movie completely goes against the message of the first movie. Cringe!

Don't I know it. >_<

The whole thing is super disappointing to me, really. Completely twisting the meaning of the original film, models that look more like Barbie horses than Breyers... eugh.
Honestly, it makes me want to purchase future Breyers solely from discount stores or other collectors so that I'm not giving any of my money directly to them :/ I don't wanna support that and I'm surprised Breyer does.

The original Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron Breyers had the same cartoony style.
They're not making this craptastic show, merely making toys on it, like they did with the butchered Saddleclub TV horses. And the Stablemates at least are normal horses.

The toys look cool, but the show sounds stupid. Like you all said, it ruins the entire premise of the original movie. Lame.
