Yessssss. My new girl has been shipped today. So excited to have her in my hands, but it'll be a long process till she's put together

ETA: ;^; and my girl arrived, but not in condition as described. She has stains (no stains in pictures, and stated "no stains" in description) and I think it's beyond my capability to remove them. I guess I'll be waiting longer than expected if I have to send this back *Sigh*

ah, I guess she's going to stay with me. Worked out a partial refund for the doll. I still feel like this is too much for me as a beginner.

I think what happened was the seller put the pamphlet in the same box as the doll-- so the ink transferred onto the body. She didn't wrap the doll up in anything to protect it (not even a paper towel), so it flopped around. I guess I'm lucky nothing broke. Last night there were all these dark spots, now they are absorbing into the vinyl. Like sharpie on a pony. And there was is thick yellow substance that stained to a bright yellow/orange.

I plan on buying a custom head off of Y!JP -- after I find one that calls to me. So I guess I have time to work on these stains. So gunna be a long WIP.

This is my first new doll in quite a few years. Kinda excited about that.

I'm glad you got a partial at least!  If you post pics of the staining, maybe someone will have tips for removing the marks?

I found a good how to on another forum. I'm crossing my fingers it'll work. Although one suggestion is remove zit, and I'm pretty much scared of that product after seeing how it zaps colors out of ponies. It's just weird. It's like more are popping up, and some are fading in the vinyl. And I'm just baffled.

Oh pleeease post pictures! I love that doll. I owned one temporarily, but I felt like he didn't fit in with my bunny hoard (I have a bunch of Rooneys). I still miss him though...

Bandit, I hope you get the stains out! I would be afraid of removezit, too. I used to use it until I, too saw firsthand what it could do over time.

I am trying to figure out how my patience can hold out for this 8-12 week wait I've got ahead of me for my Elfkin boy.
I already have some ideas for clothing and such I want to make him, but would need him here to do it. Other than him I have to wait before I even think of purchasing any more dollies.

  Yeah, me too. I've only ever sold two of my dolls and they were dolls that I just didn't bond with and I still had them both for over a year before I decided that they would be happier with someone who really appreciated them.

  I'm set on getting Eiji when he comes out and I want Harmony when she comes out as well, but I dunno if my budget will be able to handle three Smartdolls in a year. I will HAVE to sell Something to make that happen! Wish that MLP customs were doing better these days. Suppose I could try my hand at LPS customs. I gotta have those two!

I waited until the last minute, but the temptation of getting Amethyst  in ebony through the Volks USA FCS got the better of me yesterday, so that's who I'll be waiting for for the next few months.
