Personal Interview-Where did you get your user name?Back in the olden days of dial up, I was trying to sign up for a certain bean bag toy site and the name I wanted (Pokey) was already taken. My youngest brother was obsessed with Star Wars and made the comment about Pokey sounding like Obi, like Obi Wan Kenobie so I became Pokeyonekenobie and have used that ever since.
How old are you?Old enough to know better but still too young to care.
Do you go to school or work?Just work. If I did go back to school it would be to get a Master's and I don't know what I would get one in so for now, just work.
What are your hobbies?How much space do I get for this? I do a lot of art related things like painting and resin. I recently started experimenting with Perler Beads since I never got to as a kid. I also read, write, do puzzles, and play video games.
Do you have any pets?I have a red Malamute/red Heeler mix named Max.
What do you like/dislike about yourself?I really like my eyes. My license says hazel, which I suppose they are, but they naturally change color with the lighting and what I'm wearing.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?I don't know. I haven't been enough places to definitely pick one. I have a list of places I'd like to visit because they sound like lovely places to live, though. Someplace warm, mild winters, no extreme weather disasters and more rain than snow would about fit the bill.
Do you collect anything other than ponies?Mostly Art supplies & Disney. I used to collect beanie babies but whittled it down to my absolute favorites and sold the rest when I went back to collecting ponies.
Ponies-How long have you been collecting ponies?If you want to count from when I got my first pony...37 years, I think. But I didn't start actively adding to my childhood collection until after I graduated college.
Why did you start collecting ponies?As a kid I really enjoyed playing with them with my friends and once I became an adult I found that I just enjoy how adorable they are.
Who is your favorite pony and why?Baby Glory, because she was my first.
Who is your least favorite pony and why?Pinkie Pie. She's okay, but way overdone.
Who is your favorite pony from another country?I don't know. I think there are a lot of pretty color combinations so it's hard to pick.
Who is your favorite fakie?I like the fakies that look like the G1 Newborns (Milkweed's pose). That way I can customize them and not feel bad about it.
Who was your first pony?That would be Baby Glory. She's the first pony I remember having, anyway. I probably got her for Christmas because I remember my older sister having the adult version of Glory and it's likely my parents bought them for us at the same time so we could play together.
What pony did you get recently?I think the most recent ponies I got was in a trade. I got Baby Cotton Candy, North Star, and Baby Lickety Split.
What is your favorite generation?Probably G1. But I think each Generation has some that are very pretty.
What is your favorite part about collecting?I think I like finding them in the wild. I don't have any that I'm actively seeking but if I find a G1 at a thrift store or garage sale I snatch it up.
How big is your collection?I don't have an exact number. I recently rehomed almost all of my G3s and G4s so now my collection fits in 5 Banker's boxes instead of taking up a whole closet.
What do your friends and family think about your collection?I've trained them well. My younger brother will buy G1s for me that he finds if he's out thrifting. My friends know they can ask me about pony stuff, especially if their kids are currently into the cartoons.
Do you still play with your ponies?Not unless one of my nieces wants to play. Mostly they're just for me to enjoy.
What rare or popular pony makes you ask why!?Rapunzel. Pink with yellow hair isn't my favorite combination and for the longest time I thought she was Goldilocks' mom.
If you had to have a pony symbol tattooed on your butt, which would you pick and why?If I
had to? Like no choice but to get one? Umm...maybe Firefly's because it would be fast to do. I do not like needles in any form so a tattoo is a big NO THANK YOU for me.
If you could have any pony remade in a different generation, who would you choose and why?I think Firefly and Glory would translate well into any generation.
What has been the worst part about collecting?Finding a space to put it once I have it.
What is your ultimate collecting goal?To have space to put my collection out so I can enjoy looking at it.
What is your biggest collecting accomplishment?My nieces liked ponies because I let them play with my collection.
What is your biggest collecting regret?Not collecting when ponies were cheaper because I was into beanie babies at the time.
Who is your grail pony and why?Do you have it?I don't think I ever had a grail pony. I mean, there are some that I think would be fun to own but none that I just
have to have.
Do you prefer loose or MIP ponies?Definitely loose. I tried to keep some MIB at one point but just ended up feeling guilty that they were in a bubble while all the others got to come out and play.
Quick! Close your eyes and grab a pony! Who did you get?Baby Crumpet. I found her at a garage sale and she needs to be cleaned inside because as dark as she is, I'm pretty sure she's full of mold so she's in a more accessible place than everyone else.
Are you a customizer? Yes.
What do you think of custom ponies?I think they're a lovely way for people to create their dream ponies and express themselves.
What are acceptable and unacceptable pony flaws, in your opinion?Are they flaws or are they personality marks? If I don't like something on a pony I can always customize it.

Do you watch pony shows/movies? Which ones?Sometimes. I grew up on the original cartoons and movie and used to watch Tales on TV after school. I only made it through about half of FiM, though. I think I stopped sometime around when the friendship school started. I just never really had time to watch it and then I never got back to it.
Do you read pony comics?Which ones?Nope.
