New 35th Anniversary Collector Ponies Spotted! Pics!

My Target has been restocking, too. I only got two of the ponies for now because I don't have much room in my tiny apartment and I need to get the future releases, too!

I guess the retro ponies are either extremely popular in my area or the Target stores in my area didn't think they were good sellers. I checked two Targets and Toys R Us today and didn't find any retro ponies.  My Toys R Us is extremely slow when it comes to putting out new pony toys.

From what I saw in Sunset's video, she only had a Minty to compare? I also have 25 and 35 Minty and would like to see comparisons of the other 5.

I checked TRU and Target today. Nothing at either. My Target did have Butterscotch who I bought a couple of weeks ago. My boyfriend had checked for me when I was sick in secret and when I insisted we go to another he told me he had checked already and they would restock Thursday before last. Didn't make it out and nothing to be seen. :'( 

Two different 80s/retro clothing items in the pajamas section though. One was a PJ set with Moonstone and I forget who else, and the other was a tshirt with the MLP logo.

Rainbows are meant to hit Europe in Spring and maybe the US later this year? Lots of different stories on dates and plans for that. Medley and Glory's set have also appeared at toy fair, no confirmation date for their release yet but maybe before Christmas?

Ah, and Peachy's parlour is due out...sometime. Autumn. Maybe. Where? No idea. But it does have Peachy

Yes they keep restocking-

I'm sure they will continue to do so- the same company makes the Strawberry Shortcake retro dolls and they've been restocking those for at least 2 years now

Getting to the store early in the morning right after they've restocked seems to be the key (they never have any ponies by the afternoon!)  I'm sure that will slow down as the frenzy dies down a bit


I hope Target carries the Peachy set!!!!

That is a good sign for the continuation of the line, but you have to wonder how many of these are being bought by ebay scalpers because ponies are "collectable"?

Just like with the Strawberry Shortcake dolls, at first, it is mostly resellers buying them with the occasional lucky fan who gets there early enough after a restock (or who has the employee get them from the back).   
But eventually the re-sellers slow down and regular people can get them again...  and I think My Little Pony has even a larger fan base than Strawberry Shortcake so I anticipate that they will have as many amazing sets and be selling them for as long as the dolls- yay!  So glad they got this license!!!

Strawberry Shortcake, MLP, and Care Bear retro toys all look great. They were out of the bears when I went.

I swear that if I walk into a store and see Windy and co on shelves in the next few weeks I might just start crying at the nostalgia of it. And then probably get escorted out by security without ponies, but you know.
