I've never been to FanExpo, but there were a couple of vendors at Calgary Expo that had tubs of vintage ponies. Sure they were a little overpriced, but everything at conventions is overpriced. Just comb the vendor area. Someone might have something.

And I do not have a table. I help one of the vendors with set up and tear down

This is a very honest thread. LOL Fan Expo is getting crazier and crazier for costs every year. I've been going for about 10 years as well, and I can't remember ever seeing vintage ponies floating around. I always keep an eye out still though. I'll be there on Friday this year and maybe part of the day on Saturday. I managed to score tickets through my work because I did some advertising that will be at the event this year.  The artist alley always has some pretty cool fan art, make sure you check it out!

Ponies galore and all kinds of stuff i never thought i'd see! So glad I went...i adore my little free hat and the Applejack Aurora (all of them were there but REALLY limited) Prices were amazing...got sparkle Derp for $20!!! The plush (med size) was $25) the special bag for $5 and entry was only $25...not too busy either! Had a RIOT!!

We wound up going to CNE instead. There were all sizes of plushies from 3`` to 2`. I got a rainbow dash hair bow for my daughter at a booth in the hobbies and craft building.

I was there all 4 days.

Missed out on Andrea's autograph (BOOOO) but was happy about the others! There was SO MUCH pony stuff everywhere, but like typical Fanexpo it was overpriced. I don't go to shop. I go to costume.

Thurs-Fri I was in plain clothes.
Sat I dressed up as Sorceress from He Man and Sunday I was Wonder Woman

I spent most of my time at the Hasbro Booth 
Made friends with all of them and of course, pictures with the GIANT Twilight Sparkle (not once, but THREE times over the weekend) made me soooo happy!!!

Gah!!!! I totally missed Twilight! so sad I had no idea she was there, I didn't see her at all (or maybe she wasn't there when we went through, iunno). oh well, maybe next year

We didn't cosplay this year but are planning on it next year, and going for the whole weekend. This was a trial year for us and getting used to it. But we had fun and definitely looking forward to next year.

I got Tara's autograph on one of her hats (with her pony persona), and I got Agnes Garbowska's autograph on my fav comic cover that she did, and got to talk to her about upcoming issues and covers she's done. Didn't do much shopping but did a lot of browsing. Definitely pricey, but some things are so hard to get so some is worth it. Overall had fun.

It's strange...I didn't find it overpriced at all, really...maybe I don't shop enough to know what overpriced is: I HATE shopping! I found the items pretty much on par with the shops in my area. Maybe a couple dollars more, but I'd never even SEEN most of the stuff so perhaps adrenaline and endorphins smeared the price tags a little

Some of it wasn't bad - especially for exclusive and hard to find stuff but we compared the prices at the Conspiracy Comics booth b/c we shop in their actual stores, and they pretty much doubled their in-store prices just for the expo, and their store isn't the cheapest.
