It is interesting to note that G3s were not the first ones with eye shapes after all. I didn't know she had stars in her eyes.

Her tiara was everything to me. I loved playing with it and I didn't brush her hair a lot because of the tinsel.

I have her as a childhood pony, albeit in French box (Princesse de Lumiere)!

It also wasn't name recycling as she wasn't sold in the US or Canada, and there was no other pony in the UK sold under the name of Princess Sparkle ;)

I mean, it's like she loved glitter glue so much she went and rolled in it.

She feels really rough and sandpapery because of all the glitter all over her body. If it were just a pearlescent or glittery sheen then that would be one thing, but she's literally encrusted with it. Though it doesn't come off, I will give her credit for that. I have seen her with broken capes and missing capes and filthy dirty too - but never with missing glitter or even a missing crown! (Often a bent crown though).

She also stands slightly taller and bigger than other ponies. Just slightly, but enough to be annoying in shelf storage. But I guess you could call her a tactile pony?

I think mine still works although she hasn't had batteries in for years and it is really pretty. I really liked that about her when I was a kid, but the real reason I bought her was because she was there, I didn't have her, she was on sale and I had some money. Also she was in a French box, and I love other languages, and so that made her special to me.

Although she's Princess Sparkle, and I have her box in English as well now, to me she is still Lumiere (or Lumi), the slightly eccentric French princess who really likes to glitter...

^in the comic. Her one and only story appearance, which I think was in someone's dream. Patch or Sweetheart? Can't remember but I am sure someone will know.

It's not really a dimmer switch, if I remember right...it clicks on and off I think?

She isn't on my list, but at the same time I know that if I ever found her in the wild I would be so excited to actually find a G1 pony I would snatch her up in an instant and love her to pieces. I don't even know if she was sold here.

I have to admit though even she was a childhood pony for me I didnt like her much. Too glittery, it was no fun to even touch her :/ Still have mine but yeah... shes wasnt my favourite.

I have her, and I can't get rid of her. Mine doesn't have her saddle, but my dear sweet mother bought her for me on ebay. She was one of the harder-to-find ones and Mom was really proud of herself. When the pony arrived and had a gaping hole in her back, Mom just made her a little cloth saddle. It is the sweetest thing in the world, and every time I think of selling Sparkle, that saddle stops me. Sparkle stays.

Light-up features really irritate me, they just seem tacky. One day I'll get her, but I'm not going to be too fussed if she's in less than perfect condition.
