I have a feeling that this line is going to be 1) more expensive and 2) collector aimed. TRU is known for having collectible toys in many of the boy toys lines. The one that pops into my head at the moment is the Thundercats ones. They have a line of retro Thundercats that are larger, more detailed, and completely cartoon accurate to the 80's version. They do the same with Spiderman, Batman, Superman, etc all the time.
Who says they haven't listened to us before? We got the 25th anniversary collectors edition, didn't we? They just chose the ponies poorly, priced them too high, and manufactured them cheaply, so they didn't sell well.
I'm so jazzed. Haven't been this excited about new ponies since it was announced that Blind Bags would be at the fair last year!

And bronies are incredibly prolific in showing their passion for the show - the quality and volume of fanworks is astounding. Fanart, comics, music, fanfics, customs, plushies, PMVs, original animation - it's mind-blowing how much media is produced as a response to this show. After months of continued, never-waning passion for the series, of course Hasbro is gonna sit up and take notice of this demographic, and assess them as a potential market. I'm so happy they finally responded with some of the "most-wanted" merchandise, e.g. a white Celestia.

In my opinion the children market is decreasing (they play less with toys and more with videogames etc.), so toy companies are a bit more devoted to adult collectors. I think that this is part of the exist of Monster High dolls, for example.

That doesn't necessarily mean anything. Last year the LPS shelves weren't set up properly and several of the sets were mixed together. This was especially true with the Blythe sets, where pets from another set would be put with the wrong doll. Was Lyra even by any other ponies? It just seems weird they'd release her alone. I mean, if she was part of a singles wave, wouldn't there be other new ponies sitting with her?

I know why they have decided to release some of the "background characters" seriously, think about the ammount of customs that have been sold of these "characters" they would be mental not to. Even if they do keep preaching "its aimed at little girls" they have a huge adult fanbase as well. It may not be as big as that of the kiddies, but it does seem to matter some because they seem to have listened & given in to what the fans wanted.

These look awesome, and I'm all for more toys of characters from the show (and the accurately-colored Celestia), but does anybody else kinda feel like these are basically just catering to the brony side of the fanbase?
I mean, a lot of these characters (the DJ, Nightmare Moon, etc.) have been done as customs hundreds of times. It almost feels like they're only going with what they think will sell to the bronies.
Maybe Zercora will be a Halloween pony! I hope these ponies aren't going to be US exclusives...

I got Twinkleshine and PlumSweet yesterday, they were kinda hidden behind their "The Ticked Master" DVD... but once I opened then, their body and head color doesn't matches :(
That's, imo, the worst flaw a pony can have.
Sad that not even Plumsweet, who is white, matches perfectly :( Really poor quality.
Didn't bought the other ones because even with the DVD I could see they didn't match.

This is from a different pony country, so these changes might only appear in FiM magazines/reading material. Also that looks like Little-Filly Blueblood. I still like to keep the "babies" form from the "Baby Cakes" episode. ^^; (Even as babies, Pound and Pumpkin had the most amusing expressions when Pinkie Pie sings her Piggy song~)

Do you think she was simply missed out...I would have thought considering how desperate we have been for her she may have been on show...I hope this doesnt mean she isnt going to make it to shelves after all!

Even if you could find someone who actually knows the answer (unlikely) they wouldn't answer. They never straight answer anything about upcoming releases that they haven't already officially announced in some way. Like at the fair, all the questions they asked Hasbro all had "stay tuned" or "not at this time" as an answer.
I think asking about Minty will result in emails like "Hasbro does not make My Little Pony mouthwash at this time."

They look like gems to me. I don't really think she is supposed to be the blind bag Lemon Hearts. I just noticed her eyes are not the right color for her either.
I'm wondering if the "miniature collection" might be the blind bags packaged like this ???

This is the best pic I've seen of her.That yellow unicorn, I'm not sure if she's Lemon Hearts or not. Her symbol looks more like gems than hearts.I think the camera was just too far away to easily see the indentations in the hearts. Still, it does look a little off, in that the hearts are supposed to be swirling around each other, not arranged into a perfectly neat triangle.
