I'm pretty young too, and the first ponies I got were G3's. Minty was my favorite back then. Then I got into FiM, though I was always crazier about the toys than the show. During that time, I looked around the internet for pony stuff, and I stumbled on a bunch of G1 website (and the arena) and I fell in love with the G1 designs and how soft and horselike and big they looked. I got a few at a flea market, and I picked up them wherever I could find them.

I found the collector ponies! (and rainbow but they were either stocking them or the were sold out) at my Target. Seems like they got them before Black Friday hit.

I have her! She's really beat up, and she has a few spots that are really rough, and suffers from severe tail rust, but I like her colors and symbol.

I'm not sure if this has been already asked, but when you go to Target, where do you find them? They're not in the kids section, for me. It's quite possible that my Target doesn't stock them, but making sure before I buy them online.
If you go in the toy section, there should be an endcap of retro/nostalgic stuff. There's actually, like, two endcaps now? Mine is on the one on the end of the shelves with baby toys. The ponies are on the bottom of that here.
But not all Targets have the endcap. My local Target only just put one back up after not having it for 6 months.
Yeah, I don't think my Target has one. Thanks anyway!

My favorite from G3 is the Colors of the Rainbow song. It's really catchy!
And I have a lot from the FiM cartoon, but let's go with the True, True Friend for now.

I used to collect them a lot, but since I have a pretty strict 1 pony per character rule (2-3 for the main 6) that means I've got almost everyone so it's slowed down quite a bit. Plus, I'm not as big of a fan of the new models.

I think it would be a gust of wind carrying a token from all of my interests...crafts, horses, sci-fi, writing...the gust of wind because I like to be free.
