Hi everyone!
I recently recovered all my little ponies from childhood and, as I was trying to identify them I stumbled across this forum so here I am!
I'm not a collector, though I used to be, as a child. During my uni years I shared a flat where my lovely flatmates were happy to let me display my collection for everyone to see. After that, my partners were not so understanding, my rented apartments grew smaller and smaller and the ponies ended up in a box in the garage, patiently waiting for the moment where I could put them on display again.
Unfortunately, that day isn't coming soon, money is tight and I'm thinking about selling some of the more valuable ones (a few of them are Spanish nirvanas). It seems a bit sad, kind of like giving part of your childhood away, but the thought of someone else actually taking care of them and enjoying them is quite inspiring. I could really do with some help on price checks and other info, so you'll be seeing me around ;)

Thanks! I hope so too, I really feel bad about having to let some of them go, but on the other hand, if I can't enjoy them at least someone else should be able to :huh:

Well welcome! And that is sad. I know how it goes though. Mine have been in boxes for the last few years too and have just started going out again. It's hard to not be able to care for them.

I know! It's not just the fact that they're living memories from my childhood, they're also reaaallly pretty! I'll be 31 in August and they still make me feel all warm inside ;)

Welcome - sad to hear that you are thinking of selling but wonderful that you want to meet collectors and those who appreciate ponies. :) Who knows... you might get pulled back in!

Welcome to the Arena! Make sure you keep at least a couple of your childhood ponies. Once they are sold you will never get them back again. :hug:

Welcome!! You have some lovely ponies! I'm really sorry you have to sell them, I wouldn't have the heart to sell my childhood ponies. Lets hope you can get them back sometime!
