Argie pony hair match again

I have a few more now that if someone could give me a dollyhair match that would be helpful. I'm finally ordering some hair this weekend.

Masquerade
Buttons
Moonstone
Rainbow Moondancer

and if you had an Argie with hair in good condition but a few shorter snips would you try to add hair to repair it? Leave it? I have an Argie Parasol and her hair is great, but her tail has some snips in it. It's about an inch shorter on one side. Something maybe I should try to repair? Will her hair be faded enough that if I put new hair in there it will not match her mane?

if the hair has a few snips of a little trim i would leave it, you will only decrease her resale value. i am reluctant to rehair any nirvana pony that has hair longer than an inch or so!

as for the tail being lobsided, you normally get that with italian ponies it is just a manufacturing error when they made the tail, they didn't line the ends up i would leave it

i will have a go at picking some colours, i don't have the ponies in front of me i am only going from picturesand memory as i have restord a few of those ponies in the past someone who has the ponies to hand will give you a much better idea of the colour.

Moonstone ~ sugarberry, lemondrop and envy/key lime
Rainbow Moondancer ~ sugarberry, lemondrop and water nixi.

i do think argie ponies look better rehaired with real MLP hair, but that is just my choice annnd it is rel's choice too

Aww it's just my Argie Parasol that has the cut in her tail. It's a cut though I'm pretty sure, but I probably will just leave it.

Pretty much every one I've bought so far other than Parasol is hairless, so it's just been hard for me to color match since I don't have anything to go off of. I pulled one's tail out earlier (tiny nub left still in the washer), but I couldn't really pick the colors out with such little hair.

When you guys do it with the real hair, are you just taking hair from another pony or finding some extra hair? How do you even go hunting certain colors about?

i have no clue on the pindot mold thing, all the tutorials just seemed like so much work i never even attempted it lol! 

you may be quite shocked ot see how well sunfading works!

and i dont use dolly hair for my rehairs, i did once, and i just ended up rehairing them again with G1 hair. IMO, its just too darn shiny... unnatural.

so I use real G1 hair from donor tails. there are a LOT available left from people who customize G1s just post a "wanted" thread in the customs forum
so i dont know the dolly hair matches but i can tell you what US ponies they match

all argie rainbow hairs have the same red/blue /green/yellow:
red = sugarberry/skyflier
blue = bubbles/tootsie
green = SS scrumtious/ magic star/raspberry jam
yellow = lofty and i think AJ
