2 different She-Ra dolls?
« on: June 19, 2013, 02:01:50 PM »
I just made a run to Goodwill and found a slew of She-Ra dolls...I know very little about them, but 2 in particular are weird to me.
They're both She-Ra, but they look very different from each other. Both say Taiwan 1984 on them, and essentially they're the same, but they have significant differences:
She-Ra 1 - duller gold boots thicker in the body and legs, right hand completely closed in a circle 5 eyelashes head attaches 1/2 way down her neck, pale lips.
She-Ra 2 - brighter gold, right hand separates from thumb and fingers, has hair in 2 spun braids and 2 whisps that meet at back of head in VERY old elastic...dunno if original? 3 eyelashes longer fingers on left hand.
Are these 2 from different sets? She-Ra 2 has a pink cape with sparkley waist band and gold elastics that hold her cape to her arms...is this hers or someone else's?
Any info would be super!
Oh, and there's also a figure who is very tanned and Amazon-looking...her hair is molded in a bum and her gold is dull like She-Ra 1 but I can't find any info on her. She says 1981...
Thanks all you She-Ra lovers :)

One might be Starburst She-Ra. You should check out Ghost of doll more information on She-Ra and  http://ghostofthedoll.co.uk/index.htm And the Amazon-looking one could be Teela from the He-man line.

The Amazon-looking one could be Teela from the He-man line.

My thoughts too. Here is a picture of the Teela action figure.

Ghost of the doll is awesome, but if you want some SUPER detailed info on variants check out:

You definitely have a Starburst and original She-Ra there, thats for sure, ...your Starburst She-Ra was released later and has a swivel head/neck, unlike the earlier Starburst She-Ra's...pics would be even more helpful though.

Yes, you're correct! I also have 2 Sweet Bees with their little skirt and neck choker outfits (no wings) and natural curls, Angela with her tulle skirt and Teela. If anyone is interested in them, that's cool too...I just wanted to learn more about them and why there were 2 different ones from the same year! They're pretty interesting little characters!
