*sigh*. It is with a really, really heavy heart that I write this. Back in March, I put out the offer for a private swap with a newer member to help them gain positive feedback. Mylittleponylover92 enthusiastically sent me a reply and I instantly felt she would be a lovely partner to swap with. I decided we would have a budget of $20 and would shop only for G4 ponies since they're relatively easy to come by.
After several months of corresponding, we agreed upon the second week of May to ship out our boxes. I sent her box priority shipping to England, and waited to hear when she shipped mine out. I know, I should have waited until I received confirmation that she sent my box first, but we had such great communication that I trusted her.
I received a message saying she'd had a family emergency and couldn't get to the post. No problem, family comes first. I told her to take her time and get my box out when she was able.
We communicated again in July, right before I went on vacation. I sent her another message a few weeks ago, but it went unanswered. Only after I sent an Urgent Message via PM did I receive a response from her boyfriend. I'm not sure what's going on, but I'd like to know one way or another if I should anticipate a swap box or go ahead and leave negative feedback.
If anyone else is in contact with her, please let her know that she has until September 15 to notify me that my box had been sent (with proof of shipping) or I have no choice but to leave negative feedback. I don't want to leave bad feedback, but this has gone on for just too long now:(.
I hate that it had to come to this.

*huggles* I'm so sorry to hear of this Michelle. You're such a kind person and you always are seeking the positive. I've never traded or swapped with you but it's so very obvious from your posts.

That's a shame. Situations like that make it tough for other newbies like myself to get started out. Not to mention how disappointing that would be. I hope you can get everything sorted out.

That was incredibly kind of you to try and help out some newer members gain feedback. I'm so sorry that this person has taken advantage of your sweet nature. I hope it doesn't put you off from future swaps. :hug:

I know, and she is a really sweet person. That's why I'm so shocked that this has happened. All I want is for things to get sorted on her end. I don't want to leave negative feedback. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with an Arena member.
Ponylady, I'm so glad I have you to help me out. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me, you all represent what is best about this place: community. Even though bad things happen, there are always people there to offer their support.
Thank you everyone, and mylittleponylover, if you're reading this, please don't be embarrassed or afraid to come back here. Things happen, but what sets good character apart if the willingness to admit when you've made mistakes and attempt to right your wrongs.

Good news!!! I received a message this morning, and everything is getting sorted:). Life happens, but I'm glad she is able o make this right. Overall, a happy ending to the situation.

I had A LOT of family drama, then holiday so I was away and my life is split between several countries :huh:
The main thing is that I managed to send it the fastest method I could.
I didnt 'take advantage' my situation is a novel one for me and Im not usually like that, as my feedback although not a lot - shows this.
I have only just come back to the arena as I have been without proper internet for a very long time! :blush: :cry:
If you could change this to resolved I'd be most grateful :satisfied:
