NEOPETS!! Does anyone still play or collect the toys!?

I don't frequent the site as much as I used to but Neopets merchandise is my biggest active collection. I'm pretty close to completing the original series of plush, but some of them can be hard to find for a reasonable shipping price to Canada. I have so many things that I need 3 different spreadsheets to prevent myself from buying duplicates!

I used to play. Once I got my pirate Ixi and Desert Lutari I lost interest. I switched to webkins but it's not as much fun, mostly because their are no guilds so no one to talk to. Might go back if I can remember my login info.

I used to be super into it for a while, then got distracted.  I tend to pop in every once in a while for a bit but I never do much.  I do still collect the plushies and stuff, though, because I just adore the look of all the pets and the plushies are great.  My favorite one is my Royal Boy Uni plushie.    His name is Ronin.

I've never really been into Neopets, but I do usually buy plushies of the unicorn when I see them at thrift stores. They fit in really nicely with my fakie collection. Recently I acquired a blue one with stars and it's really gorgeous with my plush Cotton Candy, talking Pinklestia, and a large-sized fakie that lights up.

I used to years ago and I am certain my original account is still there, but my BEST account apparently got purged years ago. Had a Mutant Kougra, Halloween Cybunny, Ice Bori (? - it was an armadillo-ish looking thing), and a Tyrannian Shoyru, and all my best items on it.
Ever since I found that out, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Even if I did go back to the site, I would be too scared to talk to anyone since last I was there, it was crazy easy to get frozen on the site.

I still have a Faerie Kougra plushie somewhere in my house, along with a Faerie Scorchio that actually has light-up cheeks and talks. xD

I used to play Neopets all the time!  I lost a tonne of valuable items in the glitch of 04-04-04 (April 4th, 2004 when anyone could log in to any account they wanted - it was the fault of a programmer, but neo would never admit that of course. And they never did make good on their promise of a rollback to recover the 'lost' items.)  Anyway. I've long since moved on. Now I play on MISTICPETS. Which is way better. Better art, better community, no freeze-bot, and admin who are actually online!  Is awesome. Here's a link!
